New Everton Stadium

If the proposed location is Peel owned dockland then Peel will only sell at the right price and if they consider the proposed stadium development beneficial to their wider plans.

To demonstrate the latter we need to:

1. avoid negatives: don't destroy views for other developments they plan, don't build an eyesore, don't cause unworkable congestion etc.
2. show some positives e.g. enabling a new MerseyRail station & road development, attracting in ancillary retail/leisure etc.

This wouldn't be a straight forward negotiation, particularly with Peel who are not the easiest of partners. If it is successful it will obviously be a total game changer for us in terms of brand image and commercial potential. Fingers crossed!

Defo not easy or straight forward.

However, and i never thought i would say this about Everton. The way Moshiri set his stall out with Koeman and went after him and paid what it took to get him, i am beginning to believe the things people tell me that when he sets his target on something he gets it.

If he has set his target on the docks, i actually for the first time believe we will get it.

I guess the current round of questions centre on:

a) timescale for a new stadium being ready
b) associated gentrification of the areas....bars, cafes, shops, hotels etc
c) new transport infrastructure to make the new stadium accessible by road and rail
d) future expansion of the site, both in terms of capacity and the range of events hosted

I've no idea if there is any information yet 'out there' regarding these aspects?

Yeah I do as well, Moshiri is listed by Forbes Magazine as the 29th richest UK citizen, well people with the kind of money that he has more often then not simply get what they want, Koeman for example. Don't forget he owns steel and energy companies, two sectors im sure Peel have a lot of interest in, sounds perfect.

Know anything about him mate ?
He's from Bury and is a massive kopite !
Extremely wealthy and now based in the Isle of Man , I was actually speaking to someone who has dealt with them over leasing office space in Princes Dock.
His son was negotiating on behalf of Peel at there hq in The Trafford Centre , very "erratic" was the feedback I got so be interesting to see how this all pans out , that is if we are even negotiating with Peel !
