I was very surprised to be told the information that I was, completely unexpected, and unless I can tap up this not that interested in football person up for more information (which would mean this person tapping up a very senior employee within Moshiri's set up!) then alas I won't be able to add anything more. I also have to be wary, this person is unlikely to appreciate being given a list of 20 questions for next time he phones or meets the guy in question.

Just occurred to me that well before Moshiri took over, someone posted on this thread about a taxi driver being told by a mystery Russian that the new stadium would be out of this world. Took it all with a pinch of salt at the time but I just wonder if it might have been that new fella on the board on a trip up to Goodison way before Moshiri took over in February. Makes you think, like.

I mentioned this a while back , the one constant in the rumours when the 2 Yanks where in pole position , was this random Russian that kept popping up !

I am a Hackney driver in the city. Last Thursday Liverpool played Rubin Kazan and that afternoon a Russian guy got in my taxi at Lime St station.

He wanted to go to the Hilton to meet his friends who owned Kazan. He asked if I was a Kopite and I said, no I'm a Blue.

He then told me that Everton would be sold in 3 weeks.
