My own personal opinion, I adore Benfica's stadium (minus the red of course) and Borussia Monchengladbach's stadium. I think Bilbao's new stadium is very smart as well (again imagine in blue trim!) Something similar to either of those sitting proudly on the waterfront and i'd be beside myself!

Anyway, just posting my random thoughts. I love Goodison but i'd give anything to see us in a world class spanking new stadium.

BM's stadium whilst having a great atmosphere is very soulless and plain functional inside, just a concrete block I thought. Totally with you though on Bilbao's stadium, just stunning in every sense.

New stadium on the waterfront, with an above roof high Prince Rupert's Tower forming the main entrance to the ground for offices, players, media, dignitaries etc and right on top and above all else, every night, a very bright and powerful royal blue light rotating 360 degrees and buzzing the landscape all round the Mersey with a lighthouse style beam. Magic.

Didnt even the atmosphere was great to be honest. Was there for the 5-0 though. Just a carbon copy of the emirates (or vice versa).. Soulless dome with no identity.

I just cant believe that we could ever get waterfront stadium. It would disrupt the power balance too much.
