New Everton Stadium

My only criticism of this beautiful building is that id have liked it to have more branding theme. I appreciate it has matched the surroundings which is a great nod to heritage but a bit of blue wouldn't have gone a miss. The large pillers at both end of the stadium could have had a blue and white alternating pattern.

It's a very small gripe - and is sometihng that would possibly be done in the future maybe, but yeah. Dortmund has the big pillars painted yellow - just adds to the stadium and the branding. I've been trying to get a picture of what i mean but I can't seem to find what is in my mind - but i've seen it before.

There is blue lighting will will illuminate the barrel cladding at night, but I can see your point - although I do think it looks 'classier' without blue.

That's a good point, but I suppose it will look more blue when dressed up. And don't forget the moody blue lights for a night game. They will look ace. Perhaps it is deliberate. The venue and fan zone will be used for a whole host of other events which will have nothing to do with EFC. Maybe they designed it that way to be more neutral for other events. In any case, I think too much blue would look cheap and nasty. Just look what Kenwright did to the outside of Goodison Park.

Just to re-emphasise i do love the stadium, just felt it could have added a little bit more of an extra blue/everton theme. I am sure there will be modifications and branidng adjustments over time!

I think that is only a natural feeling after all - when you buy a new car you dont really appreciate it until you're in it, driving it, on the drive etc.
