Don’t care that it’s a bit of a deviation from the stadium topic - that was some fascinating info, and I’ve just felt compelled to note the wife by passing it on! I’ve been up the Empire State but never read that info (I was 20 at the time and probably only interested in the view and whether I could overcome my fear of heights). I’ve bored people to tears telling them that Central Park in New York was based off Birkenhead Park - now I’ve got some additional info to really push them over the edge!

How long till someone in the new ownership realises a retractable roof was a big miss and rectifies it
Would kill off all competition for the non match day revenue all year round would be the largest multi purpose venue in the country outside of a restricted Wembley winter events and summer

We kinda need the Stadium from August to May, so I dont know what benefit a roof in the Winter would bring.

Like in Germany boxing ,ufc, massive stadium concerts get locked out of uk market due to weather in winter think it would pay for itself in time

The Liverpool waterfront in the winter might get ever so slightly cold, and windy. My dad was a docker for 30 years he'd come home frozen. And that was in the summer.
