New Everton Stadium

Ellstone left to look after the transfer biz, we are in safe hands .
Can't remember if I said this at the time, but when Everton initially met LCC over Stonebridge Cross, our CEO was not present.
Club Secretary and Moshiri's Russian mate on the Board represented EFC there.

That the Mayor is now meeting with Moshiri to me indicates significant progress has been made on at least one site. We'll see!

I wonder whether Joe's two years refers to obtaining all permissions, agreements on funding, making the land purchase and starting on site.

By comparison, Spurs who must be 18 months ahead of us in the process, are aiming to kick off the 2018/19 season in their new home. That is two years away! And a ground has to be ready months ahead of that for safety testing, certificates being issued etc.

Joe is going to have to clarify what he means by two years here. I'm concerned he is creating a rod for his back, giving out a glib comment that has no real foundation (no pun intended).

If Farhad is as ambitious as we have been led to believe, there is only one option.

Looks a fairly low key meeting tbh. (No lawyers or other reps at the table) Maybe all the formal/legal meetings have already taken place. Looks like the three already know the stadiums site.

Hopefully this means a reduced role, ultimately leading to the door, for arl suntan bob.

Liverpool Mayor: “New Everton stadium in 2 yrs is achievable”, by GrandOldTeam

Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson has met with Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright and reaffirmed his belief that Everton may have a new stadium within 2 years.

In May, Anderson told BBC Radio Merseyside: “I’m confident the new stadium will be up and running in three years time.”

This afternoon, the Liverpool mayor has tweeted a picture of himself with Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright, with accompanying text: “Great meeting with Farhad. Still believe a new stadium in 2 yrs is achievable. #COYB”
