New Everton Stadium

I think for qualifying season ticket holders (will all current holders be offered a seat at the new place?) it should be really easy to be offered 'best equivalent' seats at the new place.

I know that all seats will be good seats so it's not exactly 1:1 to replace Lower Gwladys with the first half of the South Stand or whatever, but I'm sure the club has an idea of where the fans from the various current stands may find themselves when we move over.

There ought to be a portal with a seat map that indicates the section their Goodison seat is and roughly where it should be in the new place. If season ticket holders don't wish to keep the same spot they can choose any other free seat and be offered that for the relevant price.

Obviously there will be a fair number who can't be offered a close equivalent due to hospitality, but they can certainly choose a seat from a seating plan.

I think Richard Kenyon said at the recent Shareholders meeting, that when surveyed, nowhere near everyone on the lower Gwladys Street had favoured a direct move to the lower south stand at BMD, or even to the South stand generally. I suppose a good proportion of fans have been relatively locked-in to their current seats for years by the full take-up of season tickets, and many may be of an age were they want to be able to sit, or even just sample sitting on the sides or a more elevated view.

This Tesco thing doing the rounds and started by kopites.

It’s about as funny as seeing blood on your loo roll.

Stupid kopite pricks.
The truly are a special kind of stupid. It demonstrates the level of their intelligence that they think by sticking a Tesco logo on the stadium it's somehow remotely funny.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest though to be fair. BM looks nothing like ANY supermarket or ANY other football stadium. Not like their Fire Station, Hole Punch, Loft Conversion, monstrosity.

I appreciate that they have room temperature IQ, but i'm sure if they pooled their limited brain cells together they could have come up with something better.

Anyone honestly care what their fans have to say?

Their stadium looks like a hole punch and is the worst-located area of any team in the premier league. They can throw as much money as they want at it, but it will still always be in the worst suburb in England.

Maybe we should put our old Everton logo on our former stadium, mind you the way it looks now, can't think of many Everton fans who would want to be associated with the dump.

The Tesco thing is little more than a pretty obvious quip.... a glass and steel structure, arched frontage etc? In a similar ilk to our old tin mine and hole-punch jibes. I don't see it as anything more than general banter tbh. I see plenty of Liverpool fans being quite complimentary on some stadium and other forums, so it probably balances out. At the same time, the more sensitive we are to it and the more we respond, the more it'll stick.

Thing about Liverpool fans' jealousy is understandable tbh - they support a club that basically prints endless money due to the amount of day trip supporters and fans from all corners of the world, actually has a great size piece of land to work with, yet has ended up with a large but quite frankly horrible looking stadium located in a terrible area.
