New Everton Stadium

It's rolled up when delivered you do not think it comes flat do you the whole football pitch ? Or if it's stacked, the grass will get damaged on that scale of almost half an acre ....

I remember ages ago when the wire netting turf was delivered when it first came out for a new bowling green it was in rolls - My Forman stated if they use that on football pitches players studs would get caught in the wire mesh - proved correct as it happened players breaking legs etc plus other injuries - If you order a carpet for your living room it's not delivered flat - always carefully in rolls -

They can relay a whole football pitch in a day if the foundations are correct to avoid subsidence etc ...
Joey it is being seeded not turfed.
There won't be any rolls mate.

Can’t imagine why they consulted the top minds in the country on football pitches and not Joey66 who prefers the roll out turf sold by B&Q to the robot seeded and stitched elite playing surfaces used by our peers.
B&Q do not do that special sports turf - from a former member of The Institute of Horticulture ....

Whether it is cheaper or not i don't know. However, I expect it's because they have the benefit of not needing to complete it in such a short space of time.

When it comes to relaying in the future, I'm sure it will be done differently.
The Seagulls will have a lovely lunch ..... I see our Lawnmower budget has not moved, even with a billionaire owner ..... :D

personally I think the ideal mix would be for the stands behind the goals (Both North and South Upper and Lower) to be standing and the rest seated.
Everyone will have their own perspective on this, but to me I think there’s a ceiling to the number of fans that will want to stand - and that I think will be the limiting factor on how much standing there eventually is at BMD.

For me, I fancy giving the South lower a go for novelty’s sake, but I certainly can’t see myself wanting to stand for every match I attend.

Personally I feel the standing thing is a manufactured opinion from people who want "ultras".

Like f is anyone going to stand all game when you play teams like Ipswich, Newcastle or Norwich.

Be one of those new fangled hybrid pitches surely?

It is a hybrid pitch, it's just that there are various methods of installation.

As far as i'm aware, from the information that has been reported, the pitch specialist is going to lay the upper root zone (topsoil) and then grass seed it before then stitching the plastic fibres in.

I expect this is a much slower method than others out there but we don't have any particular time constraints and it's likely cheaper.
