New Everton Stadium

Amazed if they allow that, would be a nightmare getting everyone back in to their own stand after half time bevvies
Its the norm in most new modern 'bowl' stadiums. Certainly was the case in the stadiums I was it at Eur0 2016 and WC 2022.

There is no restriction moving horizontally around the stadiums inside. There are restrictions on moving between levels though as they are typicall accessed from different gates outside. General admission only obvs.

what?
I dunno. I had a look and thought they could have done better.
I'm not mad about the massing or how the ground floor interacts with the street.
It's just a matter of opinion really.
I like the look of the stone buildings at the rear.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, architecture is subjective. My comment was more geared at the 'cheap' shouts.

The visualisations do it no favours, they are pretty crap, but it's impossible to say with any certainty that it will cheap based on a couple of poor quality images.

The building at the rear is the existing Grade 2 listed mill building. I'd have quite liked it had they made it look more similar to that, but i doubt the planners would, i'm sure they prefer the two being distinct from either other.

How can you tell from a crappy artists sketch?

Not sure what people are expecting, it looks like it fits in well with its surroundings and historical context. A brick facade was almost a certainty and you won't find many tall buildings like this not utilising cladding over actual bricks.

I like it.

I’m there every week, my take off spot is right next to the tip that’s proposed for the hotel. The waste ground that is currently used for scruffs to discard their mattresses and other crap.
Even if it wasn’t a dumping ground, I know what I’d prefer. Viva la generation

Might be of interest, its the latest Liverpool Waters render for the regeneration of the remaining docks

It was the installation adjacent to the walk way I meant, as it appeared to be unique to that area. Having had another look at other vids, I think in hindsight it might be the cabling for the solar array.

Surprised it’s not boxed in as it’s quite a contrast to the roof.
Wasn’t particularly clear on my original image.
Ah right. Yeah, it's just all the cabling for the solar.

I agree, they could have put it in an enclosed tray to disguise it a bit. Appreciate that it is on the roof, but stadiums are viewed quite regularly from the air!

I use that image quite regularly on social media in response to the Kopites saying it's a dump around the stadium...won't be forever!

That's another reason why I'm happy about the hotel opposite being built (and restoring a former warehouse). BMD is not only kick starting the regeneration of the Docks but the surrounding areas too.

They call BMD...anchoring the Northern end of the development.
I call it hiding the sewage works from all the posh apartments, shops and offices
