Yes the 60k idea was mooted by the club but it was me and me alone who started the 61878, even to the point of bombarding Dan Meis with tweets to make it so.

You little devil, I went out and got 1000 T-shirts printed with 61,878 on them !!

61878 would have been a more sensible option. Another 8990 seats on a project this huge would be feck all compared to the grandeur, revenue and prestige a 62k stadium would bring.

I believe the lettering on seats is done with vinyl wrapping and can be easily changed when sponsors etc change every few years. The seats themselves will always be blue.

With goodison we don’t have that, it’s always been EFC or Everton so the seats are actually white.
