There's another thing. Stanley Park. A historic public green space, dating back to the Victorian era. Was there many complaints when that was the plan, from reds or blues?
We redevelop a derelict dock and we're depriving dog walkers, kite flyers and turd fishers.
One more thing as well, just to get it off my chest whilst I'm on one: So, our new ground is generic is it? Hang on, we probably have the least generic ground in the country. A truly historic and traditional stadium dripping with character...
They call it "woodison".
Hypocritical tossers.
Won't dwell too much on that shower, but to be fair, if they'd have built on SP and GP and Anfield had been knocked down to extend the park AND they'd had to pay a decent ground rent for maintenance of the Park, it might have been acceptable.
On another note, and I'll say no more on the subject, at least GP is on a road that goes somewhere. It was the old road out to Ormskirk and then Preston. They are on an inner city road that just heads back in on itself. No wonder they have traffic issues.
