I smell another "World Class" 50 million pound stadium a la Kirkby Part #2

Why would the council build it? If there is outside investment why would we need the council?

We'll get "partners" involved. Ie everyone else pays for it, and then we only get the ticket sales as all concession and concerts money etc. will go to our partners.

The council tie in with somebody like Tesco who provide funding for the new stadium along with being given access to land at a very cheap rate on which they can build a new megastore. The council have the stadium built, makes far more sense than us or Tesco doing it, and they then own it. We lease it from them.
