New Everton Stadium

Anderson is actually trying to put the pressure on EFC with these 2 years 3 years comments. He' made him self look like side stander in this but I think he has suprisingly big saying in this... he's politician. ..never trust one.

What is most strange about all of this is the comment that Everton could have a new stadium with a two or three year span.

I wonder if the council are talking about the SC site when he say this, I am sure that if the council are fully behind a project there would be very few delays in getting the project started.
It just may be his way of putting some pressure on Moshiri to move away from the Docks idea as everybody knows that a new stadium has been a big issue for Evertonians for a long time.

I don't really see why he would say such a thing and ramp up the pressure on everybody.

I would exepect it to be quicker if it was at SC, so its comes across to me as he is trying to say if you are in a rush go there because it can be done in 2 years, something like that.
I would rather wait 4 years and go the docks that get piled off with a unwanted site the council can't find anyone else to take.

SC is a beer desert - one new pub has sprung up - The Vikings Landing" opposite the proposed development but I cannot think of any decent pubs within at least a mile - swerve !! No rail links either - Northern Line to the City centre nearest stations are Kirkby and Fazackerley......

I can think of only one word to describe the situation - UGH!

It's not just about the beer, a city centre site would still offer a sense of history and belonging to homegrown Evertonians. An all new manufactured hospitality area just doesn't have the same appeal.
A new stadium with its better catering facilities will try and entice supporters to drink at the ground. Fortunately we should be out of the Chang contract by then and won't have warm Chang served up. Unlikely with a city centre location, but still should be the preferred option for the club.

I have to say that I have fairly good information that Everton have been given an £/acre rate for the land at the docks. The price is nothing particularly prohibitive to Everton.

I was told a development near a drive through cinema (?) was put on hold as Everton purchasing it on docks.

Not at all but there are many who would after or before the game like to attend a friendly establishment full of like minded people such as popping into The Winslow!

Relax.....Moshiri has got this one covered....... ;)

Of course, I'm just playing devil's advocate a bit here. SC would be a very disappointing outcome. But anyone who has been to the DW stadium will know there's a relatively pleasant pub on the complex, then a quick taxi into town if you want to. Most people just stick around in that one pub then head home.
