New Everton Stadium

As regards the Club View seats do we know how many there are? Are they waiting to see how many they sell before the final fit out of the bars under the stand?
Reckon they will just leave any unsold club tickets as a match by match upgrade option for anyone to buy, so they will know the final number/fit out of the bars now.

It’s a couple of thousand seats isn’t it?

And i'm still saying that there aren't any obstructed views to seats in that area...we'll see who's right imminently I suspect. My opinion was based on decades of industry experience, backed up by the club and the design team both stating that there aren't any obstructed views.

Do you have posession of the construction drawings? No, you don't. You're looking at PLANNING DRAWINGS. There have been plenty of changes to the seating arrangements since planning. It proves nothing. Do you not understand how a design process works?

It's quite conceivable that something has changed between planning and construction which meant these apparent 'missing seats' had an obstructed view. Changes could then have been made to rectify it. Does that mean someone has made a mistake or it's a bad design....no it doesn't.

The brackets are still there, they have had a hand rail fixed to them to close the gap. No seats WERE EVER installed. Why is not introducing a seat that may have had a restricted view some sort of admission of guilt? 🙄

Personal attack? Grow Up.

Guilt? Not really, just a simple oversight/mistake, as predicted, or do you think it was a coincidence that I (and several others) homed in on it out of almost 53k seats? However, I'm glad that you've finally acknowledged that this corner design included obstructed views.... now apparently remedied by the ad-lib replacement with a gap filling handrail.

My qualifications are in both Design Engineering itself (so I'm not sure what you think you can tell me about "the design process") and Mechanical/Marine Engineering. I also have almost 40yrs of experience across multiple industries and disciplines (not just construction/civils). Designing all sorts, from complex structures/systems for both buildings and ships, to components/mechanisms for engines, compressors and multiple other mechanical systems and products. The research work I did for stadium sightline modelling was entirely about tightening that design-process loop for stadium-design, by reverse-analysis of the viewing quality of existing stands (old and modern). Ultimately to help create industry-standard software, that worked via not just the c-value parameter but also viewing-angle/aspect/viewing-distance and also lateral-view analysis (which is the bulk of the issue here). During that project, I came across multiple examples of poor, restricted or even obstructed views that had somehow avoided amendments during the "design process". Yes, modern 3-D design, using virtual reality tools etc should avert all such issues, but that's not always the case.

Of course. But they have to be realistic too. They aren't going to be flogging STs to fans who have incomes like that of Chelsea supporters.

You'd be very surprised about the income of a lot of people from the region.

Covid also accelerated this with WFH.

Also the tradesmen who earn £9k a year have a lot of money somehow.

Yeah you're probably right, at first glance I thought the seats were right up against the wall. Still, it'll be pretty tight, especially as you get to the back of the block. I assume the tall wall slopes down at a steep enough gradient to be visible over, and that's obviously why they've put an extra stairwell next to the wall rather than put seats there

No it's not. The seats and pathway are angled so you can see the full pitch.

What I was saying was, if sat at the back of blocks 002 or 011 towards the Lower South stand side, you will definitely be looking "over" the riser wall dividing the Lower East / Lower West stands with the Lower South Stand to see the opposite side of the pitch towards the south end (such as the corner flag area). That's pretty much unquestionable looking at the virtual plan. Not saying you won't be able to see any of the pitch mind.

No it doesn't. Free bar with good and a comfy seat with river side views. Also you can sit down in various pubs.

Extra £400. Worth it.

Is the cheapest corporate on the East Stand side just £1600? I thought the ones I was offered were much more than that, maybe the cheaper ones had already gone. Do they all have views of the River on that side? Tbh, the biggest benefit for me would be not having the sun in your eyes occasionally during the match. Upto last year I had to pay for 6 season tickets, now only 4, so even just an extra £400 a pop would soon stack up. I have already got a river view and can sit in any pub for free 😉. Also, the South Stand will have views of the river, docks and city...... for general admission prices. Everything is relative of course.

Congratulations on your weight loss 👍

I bought my seat in the Trinity Bar East Stand in January, cost just over £3,000 with VAT.
