Of course it will, like the one opposite Goodison is....which will be opened on non-matchdays?

Time will tell but I just think even an area as big as the fan plaza being open house on a match day (particularly when the ground is new) is fraught with problems. The entrance and exit gates are designed for 53,000. Imagine if 10,000 extra tuned up for the first game just to have a close look at the new ground (by no means an impossibility). It becomes a health and safety issue.
I fully expect the plaza to be open on non-match/non-event days and look forward to having a 99er (or maybe even a raspberry Mivvi) on a summer's afternoon looking out over the river.
Hardly comparable. I suspect it will be ticket only. I might be wrong. As I said, time will tell.Of course it will, like the one opposite Goodison is.
It is a football club Dave, they need people inside the wall spending money.Obviously if there's an outdoor event on the concourse area then access will be restricted.
Outside of that I cant think of a solitary reason to deny access. People will talk about security no doubt in terms of the times we live in, but the footprint of plenty of top flight clubs (ours included) can be accessed now with no such security issues.
I'm very suspicious of walls and how they can be used.
Errr, Dave asked about non-match days. It would be bizarre for the club to not have a club store open for the majority of the year.Hardly comparable. I suspect it will be ticket only. I might be wrong. As I said, time will tell.

Worst one of the lot - West Ham, shocker of a place to watch football, and it’s not even an impressive stadium!I don’t want to watch football in a stadium , I want to watch it in a football ground. Spurs , Arsenal , Man City may be impressive stadia but they don’t feel like football grounds to me.
I like the way the north stand was designed as it makes the ground seem to be less boring bowl shaped and more like a traditional ground that would have 4 separate stands, each with their own character. Spurs had NFL games very much in mind when they designed their new ground, and just from watching games on TV, it has the look of an NFL stadium about it, rather than a football ground. They do seem to have got one thing really right, the way they attract other events on non match days, Boxing and concerts on top of a few NFL games, which makes it a year round money maker. Thats one thing we never had at Goodison and I hope we can really make the most out of it during the summer months especially.I feel the same with the North Stand (think there were certain restrictions which meant it couldn't be better size wise) but that stand is very underhelming to me.
I like the rest of the stands though and feel people are judging a bit early since it hasn't had any branding or anything added to it. One thing I am interested in is if it will have anything Everton related on the seating because that is what helps provide more character. Though interestingly, there is none of that at Spurs' new Stadium, I think they have relied on Tifo at times. You can see on this picture that there is nothing on the seats that relates to Spurs.
Having visited Spurs' Stadium a few times though, the novelty has well and truly worn off. It may be a fantastic structure and overall Sporting arena but it's full of daytrippers and isn't intimidating in the slightest. I think our Stadium will be far more iconic as an actual Football Stadium.

Yes , I forgot about themWorst one of the lot - West Ham, shocker of a place to watch football!
Upton Park was a great football ground, and the three side of the ground that they had redeveloped over the years made it very impressive. I was told that if they had been able to rebuild the other side they would not have moved to the new ground, but there was supposed to be a preservation order on the chicken coup stand.Worst one of the lot - West Ham, shocker of a place to watch football, and it’s not even an impressive stadium!
It was a great ground as was The Dell .........right in yer face for the players like Goodison.Upton Park was a great football ground, and the three side of the ground that they had redeveloped over the years made it very impressive. The Dell was a ground that stood out with the way the home end was shaped. I know that it was well out of date, but there didn`t seem to be much thought into designing the new ground. Just another bowl stadium, just put red seats in it.It was a great ground as was The Dell .........right in yer face for the players like Goodison.

As someone who worked on a construction project where the client had endless visits for dignitaries, media, influencers and all sorts of other wastrels, it was a massive PITA for the contractors - who took it out on the client's representative - which was me.
As long as it's still a work site, and H&S rules apply, then it's really tricky to temporarily stop work to allow visits, affects the critical path on the timeline etc. Now the club may have factored this into the program - but I've not seen any mention of it in the Comms to date.
We've waited over two decades for this. I'm sure we can wait a bit longer.
Some people on here behave like it's just before Christmas... oh, hang on.
Merry Christmas to all Blues everywhere.
