New Everton Stadium

Wonder how people got to a new Goodison before all these new fangled gadgets like cars and buses and scoooters?

Reckon the lads used to send each other proposed bus schedules and the like by telegram?
More likely be pigeons with little notes tied to their little legs.

Set off walking from St Helens the week before, then had a lock-in at the Winslow. Brought the pigeons with them to release with the team lineup.

I'd link to think there is a lift for people to that level. Specifically for those who are disabled. Anybody know for sure? Thanks.

There is mate, but that of course is only to concourse level (the accessible seats are straight off that, so no problems there), for the people at the back of the upper tier you are walking up a lot of steps.

Good exercise and will help burn any pints that may have been consumed.

Pity there is no better access for disabled people in that particular area. Maybe a lift can be retrofitted.

It's two. But I think the viaduct is wide enough for three platforms along there. There's space on the left as you head north for most of it
There probably is room on the embankment as there used to be 4 platforms many years ago . Unfortunately the two relatively new ( 2011 ) bridges across Sandhills Lane were only built to carry a single track each.

Interesting. Thanks for that. Another station at Ten Streets should be built (and the new ground is only one of those reasons). Sadly, we don't get much in the way of railway investment locally.

Pictures cannot tell a full story, it could have also been raining with a swirling gale for 3 days before that photo was taken, when you are in your seat for just an hour and a half you don't get that accumulation that makes it appear as it does there.

They could have also been jet washing at the time alongside the rain, hence the patches in the upper tiers.

Anyone who has sat in the first few rows of any outdoor stadium know if it's raining you are likely to get a bit wet, thus you dress accordingly.
Plausible explanation regarding jet washing, let's hope that's all it could be, getting wet in the first maybe 5 rows will always be the case and this happens at all stadiums, just interesting that this always happens on a rainy day or heavy downpours. Only time will tell, if you look at the drone flyers videos, these wet patches are clear for people to see. Only time is going to tell.

We'll all feel like Indiana Jones at every home game by the time we take our seats.
Everyone a hero who has fought the worst the world, and beyond, can throw at us just to be there.

Then we get bummed 3-0 by a shîte Fulham side.
Everton that 🤬

They won't be going up there. If anyone has difficulty with walking/dealing with steps but aren't registered disabled, then they should definitely look at sitting in the lower tiers (bar South Stand).

Anyone who has been at the back of the TB will know the burn by the time you get there. The upper tier is almost like that all the way around at BMD.

Will the club provide Sherpas to assist in the walk from the city centre?
I believe the club is looking into teleportation to help blues with elderly relatives.

I for one will be writing to the club and demonstrating the fact they haven't taken old people into account when choosing the site

I'd have much rather them have done what Liverpool FC did and kick elderly people out of their actual homes to expand their ground.
