New Everton Stadium

They absolutely would justify it. The amount of people that will be there once complete is ridiculous. Albeit a 25 years plan, they have to start sometime. Now, with our stadium there would be as good a time as any.
But you'd only be looking at a straight run along the dock, so a tram or bus service would suffice.

Would you take money out of the club?

Not trying to catch you out just interesting to know your view!
You seem to be suggesting Bill give the money over as some sort of charitable donation.

And yes, of course I would. It's a business like all others. Sentiment has no place.

Oh I see, a new station between morefields and Sandhills?

If the area is undergoing a huge business development I was going to suggest a DLR type of line like in London along the line of the docks.
The latter almost certainly will not happen as I'd suggest that the overall cost would be immense compared to the proposed financial return.

Also, would there actually be a long-term and consistent need? By that I mean frequent and sustained use? Again I'm not sure versus cost.

Thus the first idea is more likely, yet again I'd say it would be itself quite a costly and long-winded process and who would ultimately foot the bill?

Merseytravel Authority? City Council? Peel? The club? Perhaps a combination of all parties, yet it would be a complex process to finally achieve.

Hypothetically however, I'd say the most suitable location is the empty land opposite the Stanley Dock as there'd be space on one side to develop.

How slow do you walk lid?

Can't speak for him mate but doing a quick compare on google earth the distance between Bramley Moore Dock and Liverpool One at the city centre is roughly the same as from Goodison to my brothers all the way Kensington L7 which takes us (As healthy early-forty somethings) about 35-40 minutes each home match - i'm sure the walk does us good though!

People seem to have this ludicrous idea that if we move dockside we'll be able to casually stroll post match straight into a city centre pub round the corner!

I lived in Waterloo Quay which is right before the proposed site, takes about 10 15 mins to walk into town, straight round the back of princes parade, out by the liver buildings and L1 is about 2 mins away.

Have to say people who regard walking briskly for 40 mins as slightly undesirable. I know we have an ageing fan base but come on unless your elderly or disabled it isn't daunting ,is it? As mentioned above it wouldn't take that long anyway.
