FWIW, from someone with strong Liverpool political connections as a throw away in a wider business conversation.

"Significant progress" on a site in The Northern Docks
Land in & bordering the northern Liverpool Waters area (so multiple land-owners potentially involved??)
"Things could move quite quickly"

Other people on here have far better links with the club, LCC etc. so simply passing on something that came up in a conversation on a totally different topic because they knew I'd be interested. No idea how credible it is so posting in the hop someone on here knows that better than me.

Yes, know for a fact the waterfront is an absolute mess with multiple landowners. Around the Albert Dock/Pier Head is, anyway.

I could be wrong but I think there are a lot of tunnels and cuttings from the old days still intact that could be reconverted.
