That Lucas Oil Stadium is awesome. Big fan of brick.

I'm going to say this source of information is bang on because it's what I'd like to believe.

Just a bit

any truth in the stuff rockafella has put on TEF?

All quoted from here from earlier today mate

It was all agreed a while back.

Everton's proposal was to revive the idea of a "football quarter" which was originally proposed for Stanley Park.

The plan includes a stadium, museum, shops, bars and restaurants as well as a hotel.

Peel have to re-jig their original plans which is causing the delay.
The reason for this is that Moshiri has "partners" that are willing to fund the whole lot. Not just Everton's part but Peel's too.
Peel are having to re-cost their side of the project and when they know how much it will take and the figures are agreed with the funding partners then an announcement will be made.

As far as the stadium is concerned, in the words of someone very close to it all: "F---ing awesome!"
Not just the best stadium in the country but an iconic building. Think Sydney Opera House, Guggenheim Museum, etc.
People will come just to visit the stadium even when there isn't a game. Hence the village theme to keep them there and spending money.

Source: Can't tell. Won't tell.

From another source (not too sure about this one): the stadium will be like Lucas Oil stadium but in a way that is sympathetic to the Liverpool skyline.

Make of it what you will people. I'm not going to justify my comments nor am I going to answer questions. Too much at stake.

Remember, Lucas Oil Stadium has a retractable roof. That automatically makes the building taller and uglier than a regular stadium.
To add to our other 'firsts'. I wouldn't mind Everton to be the first club in England to have a retractable roof on their stadium. We'd clean up in the summer with it being used for concerts as there are no weather concerns. Would 'fans' rather watch stone roses, U2 or whoever in the comfort of our new residence under a roof or watching a concert whilst it's pouring down at old Trafford cricket ground. Don't think the city of Liverpool bars and hoteliers would be too unhappy either. The city of Liverpool would benefit not just Everton football club.

Won't a retractable roof make future stadium capacity expansion difficult?

Would be fantastic if something on the docks happens, could completely alter the future of the club in a positive way and it is good that Moshiri is clearly going in that direction.

I like it on the inside but I'm unsure about the outside. It's impressive in scale but that's about it, reminds me of an american mall or something. Reckon something brick like that would just blend in too much with the dock.

We need a striking modern design that really stands out (and hopefully lights up blue at night ;)).
Wouldn't expect a replica of the lucas oil stadium, but something that nods to the history of the area would help with planning and UNESCO I'd imagine.

Saying that it'll probably be :
