New Everton Stadium

My main issue with American stadia is the terrible distances they're ok with putting seats from the field. The backs of bowls are pointless for actually watching the game.

I think that is fair. Though Everton won't be planning a 120k+ capacity stadium.

They are for football, I've not seen a single one that would be suited to football
haha, reads funny but I know what you mean.
Yea you're right, they are for NFL but they're not terrible for football. Century link field is a good example.
I go to Gillette and I've seen [Poor language removed] atmospheres for the Revs but great atmospheres when the likes of Brazil play. Also great for Pats.
They're not specifically designed for football but they do a decent job when the fans are up for it.
I would have loved to be in the Giants stadium for Ireland v Italy in '94.

I think there are a couple that work, but they're not the world class sort of stadia we're looking for if you were to take a direct copy of them. That's partially due to cultural differences in fan behaviour.

CenturyLink has caused earthquakes from crowd noise, so that would probably work. Also something like Nissan Stadium on the interior would work, but yeah, we don't build massive stadiums for football. Just look at those suggestions as purely design concepts that we may like to see applied. I would hate Lucas Oil Stadium for Everton. Now a purpose built football stadium (with closer and steeper stands) with similar design principles? That could be cool.

Red Bull Arena is probably the best football specific stadium in the U.S. in my opinion. Very comparable to Allianz Arena - just smaller capacity (24k)

The inside of the university of Phoenix stadiums not bad

It has some nifty features aswell like the pitch is always visible from everywhere on the concours, and they have special beer pumps that pulls a pint 10x times faster than a normal pump

I just read the KEOIC article which has caused a lot of the recent speculation.

The article makes no sense. It says the site is 15.3 hectares and will cost 20million. That makes absolutely no sense in terms of the price and the area required.

They may have mixed up hectares and acres. If so, it's not a good sign about their accuracy. If it is acres, it's big enough for a modern stadium, but only just. It's a bit tight.

Lambeau's only 81k and I've sat halfway up and it's difficult to follow the game. I've walked to the very back and it's impossible. Costs for unobstructed tiers must be a lot higher than bowls but American fans are more interested in being part of the atmosphere and getting shitfaced rather than watching the sport from my experience.

American stadiums are kings of decadence and gluttony once you're inside.

Have a look at Centurylink's concessions guide:

You can buy crab, ffs.
