New Everton Stadium

Red Bull Arena is probably the best football specific stadium in the U.S. in my opinion. Very comparable to Allianz Arena - just smaller capacity (24k)

yup, would love something like that up here in Boston!

Lambeau's only 81k and I've sat halfway up and it's difficult to follow the game. I've walked to the very back and it's impossible. Costs for unobstructed tiers must be a lot higher than bowls but American fans are more interested in being part of the atmosphere and getting shitfaced rather than watching the sport from my experience.

That stereotype is on par with British fans go the games to fight. Both are unfair stereotypes that let a select few generalize the majority.

Drove along the dock area for the first time in a while this afternoon. There would need to be a huge amount of regeneration to make the most of any stadium plan. Once you get past Costco it's extremely grim. Makes the area around Old Trafford look palatial.

If you're travelling North bound on Regent Road then the docks on the left from Bramley-Moor to Princes is part of the Peel development .

So if Liverpool Waters ,and the subsequently the stadium, progress beyond the design stage then all that area will have the needed regeneration.

To my knowledge however, the private businesses on the right of Regent Road are not under Peel influence so will need other development.

Although if progress is made on Liverpool Waters I'm sure shortly after we will see lots of other investment in the area.

I think that is perhaps why Peel may be willing over the land acquisition to Everton for a stadium . Building a stadium will create a big uplift to the local infrastructure and could then be the catalyst for Peel's other plans to get off the ground.

Look at Man U it is not exactly eye pleasing round their ground!
