New Everton Stadium

With regards to the issue about the potential smell, the smell down that area deffo doesnt smell like the United Utilities plant, so that shout about it being mollasses from Tate & Lyle sounds about right, what I dont get however is when people are saying these sewage plants dont stink, theres one just off the east lancs (not far from stonebridge cross funnily enough) and that one deffo stinks,as Im sure anyone whos been caught down wind of it can testify.

Spurs fan here in peace. Been following this thread just because I have a general interest in stadium design and am looking forward to seeing what Everton comes up with when the club finally announces their plans.

The image quoted above is from the old plans for our stadium which received planning permission all the way back in 2008. The single tier stand in the old plans had a capacity of around 9k. The single tier stand in the new plan - revealed in 2015 - has a capacity of 17k (and this may go up should the law on safe standing change). Full details of our plans here - http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/new-scheme/

As far as corporates go, they will be restricted to the East and West stands with the South stand single tier and the North stand all GA.

So the picture you actually wanted was this one:

Welcome to GOT that looks very impressive,

Yes, but someone also said that it was to be announced today. Truth is, it will be announced when its announced. Not going to change anything. really. My guess would be that nothing will be announced for a good few weeks yet, as with any land purchase, certainly of this size there is a period of due diligence. How long that period is can vary, but I think that today would be a little too early. Could be wrong though, clearly.

Hurrah, the voice of reason, unlike way too many on here at the moment! May be it'll calm down a bit once the schools go back!
@Jacko93 - would you mind going and having a word in the transfer thread as well - ta!

Looks brilliant.

I hope we follow suit in limiting corporate areas/boxes to one or two stands.

Well it seems your new owner has the money and your ITKs have been building this up massively over the last few weeks, so I'm expecting something impressive. I kind of like the idea of both Spurs and Everton building something bigger and better than Arse**l and Liverpool (not that I really have much against Liverpool).

It seems to me we're in very similar situations in many ways. Both playing in "old-fashioned" grounds which are now too small with local rivals already in bigger grounds or expanding, both looking to leapforg said rivals in terms of stadium offering and learn from their mistakes, both possibly looking at c60k multi-purpose stadiums with massively improved corporate offerings and added-extras to boost naming right opportunities and compete within FFP (in our case using US exposure via NFL, in yours hopefully the waterfront location), both centring the stadium within a larger regeneration scheme with restaurants, bars, housing, hotels. All of this assumes the ITK in this forum is right, of course.

I guess you've got an added problem with the waterfront being a heritage area so maybe we should we expect something that blends in rather than standing out too much? I don't know....will be good to see when it's finally revealed.

Great stadium mate. Looks like it will be the best in England going by that pic.
I'd love something similar for Everton on the waterfront.

Got to say, I think you'll have the best stadium in the country when completed. Would love something like that on the waterfront at Liverpool. What are arsenal fans reactions to your stadium. Will make the Emirates seem like a soulless bowl in comparison to your new stadium.
