Has the Wastewater Treatment Works at Sandon Dock been extended into Wellington Dock as yet? Know it was planned but i don't recall ever being in this part of town so wouldn't know. Just wondering what we would be adjacent to if the 'Peel Holdings Arena' was to be built at Bramley-Moore.

I think the stadium would fit in, but I would have thought we would need external concourses and circulation areas surrounding the stadium, especially as everybody would be coming from only one side.

Hopefully it will mean proper steep stands close to the pitch!

Fairly sure I read somewhere that nearly every football stadium is orientated north to south. This is to keep the sun out of the goalkeeper's eyes. if this is true, expect the stadium to be parallel with the river, not at right angles.

Im pretty certain it's now up and running, covers the full length of Sandon half tide at wellington dock

I was around the proposed area today and can confirm there is defiantly a nasty smell !!

Old Trafford isnt, neither is Wembley, so its feasible it could be at a right angle
