New Everton Stadium

Whole site is full of jarg ITKs who havent got a clue.

Sad to see.

You aren't wrong plus it takes pretty big brass balls to claim to be ITK after this transfer window and then have a go at people who don't take your word as gospel.

Not sure if you're referring to myself... Hope not though... I'm by no means ITK never claimed to be or acted as such, I highly doubt anyone is ITK, on here or on TEF, with the exception of that WRD fella, MAYBE, I'm merely passing on what my mate told me who has bought land with intention of developing it in the same area. He was informed of the ongoings in said area and that we'd put a 30 million offer down for a piece of land, this was before the papers were reporting that figure, so in my opinion he is telling the truth and not on the wind up.

Just passing on what I've heard to fellow blues that are interested, take it or leave it.

@MoutsGoat were you not the 'ITK' claiming 5 in every Friday and all sorts of other jarg, the whole window, in the transfer thread? lol. With some people it's like a weird cult on here who go trawling through the threads, hunting people who pass on things they've heard, branding them as jarg ITK's whilst Brown nosing mods & their forum buddy's... Strange.

Anyway back on topic...

Hope this stadium comes off at the docks... And going by what ive heard, what others are saying on here and Joe Andersons tweet then it seems it's about to come off... Fingers crossed!

Haha ok mate... My imaginary friend then... The papers where reporting something along the lines of "Everton would have to pay 20 million to secure dockland site." My mate said "Everton have bought site for around 30 million." Now some papers are reporting 30 million.

The only thing I'll say is that he is a red and could be on the wind up, but to me it was just general convo and he's kept a pretty straight face if that's the case. We'll see soon enough, officially. Also it's not just me saying it on here either.
Ignore him mate, he gets off on finding the negative in everything it seems.

Cheers for passing on what you have.

....do you mean infrastructure challenges as opposed to the building of the stadium itself?

Both tbh. They'd have a fair idea of the infra challenges as they can relatively easily be assumed. Trouble is, whenever you dig a hole, which I reckon they'd have to do, even though they're filling it in, it's difficult to know exactly what your digging in to.

Just talking to my mate who is a West Ham season ticket holder. The Olympic stadium move has been a complete disaster on so many fronts. Stadium design, atmosphere, accessibility, security etc... Some of these they are not going to be able to realistically fix. It is effecting the teams performance on the pitch and my mate believes the season ticket renewal rate will be terrible next season. This just highlights how important this decision is for our clubs future.

on that note, this is an interesting/sobering/possibly ominous read:

They would carry out an S.I. before any design or digging take place

....i think I know where you're coming from but there are lots of large building along the waterfront so I presume the ground must be good enough to build on.

Yes, but I would doubt that that has been carried out already with a build such as a stadium in mind. That's why I would steer well away from making any daft statements on time of delivery as Anderson has done. Only my opinion of course, and while investigation would maybe have been carried out during first outline planning of original masterplan, I doubt it would include detailed analysis of within the dock itself. I'm assuming all this though. Just trying to lay out why I think he's silly to put a time frame on it.
