New Everton Stadium

Maybe because some of us don’t want to sit in the equivalent.
Plus the ones who sit in certain areas at GP won’t be able to have the equivalent because those areas are now occupied by corporate

Yeah but once they sit you you then have the option to select somewhere else. At least fans who been sat together for years could be still sat together

Thing about Liverpool fans' jealousy is understandable tbh - they support a club that basically prints endless money due to the amount of day trip supporters and fans from all corners of the world, actually has a great size piece of land to work with, yet has ended up with a large but quite frankly horrible looking stadium located in a terrible area.
It’s like newcastles stadium, they just look like a horrible mosh mash of parts.

I think Richard Kenyon said at the recent Shareholders meeting, that when surveyed, nowhere near everyone on the lower Gwladys Street had favoured a direct move to the lower south stand at BMD, or even to the South stand generally. I suppose a good proportion of fans have been relatively locked-in to their current seats for years by the full take-up of season tickets, and many may be of an age were they want to be able to sit, or even just sample sitting on the sides or a more elevated view.

I think they could have employed a two way approach, firstly they could have mapped stands to stands and auto selected a seat for you - realistically they could have mapped Park end to north, gwladys to south, bullens to east and main to west stand, block by block - obviously for those currently on the centre line of the bullens then that equivalent seat could be taken by corporate but it could have been the closest 'best' seat

you give then people a choice of accepting or declining it - if you decline then you get a window to choose an alternative seat, this could have been done by tenure so those with the longest tenure get the best alternative seats - there are enough seats to go round for season ticket holders

this way could have kept those who wanted to sit together with people they've sat together with for years and then allowed an alternative seat for those that wanted to move/don't like the people around them

I'm biased, as I have a child, but I really don't see the thought process behind not allowing your child in on the parents criteria when the child isn't of an age to go by themselves. I also don't see the point of their seeming approach of "well, there's a family section, go in there". I've sat with the same people for 26 years, they don't have kids. They can't sit in the family section, nor would they want to. I just don't want to be punished for bringing in another generation of match going Evertonians. I've said it before, but I'll simply not get them a ticket. Maybe that's what they want though, get that space filled by a non-concession ST.

Totally agree mate. Hopefully the club see it this way as well.

Let's hope the club are honest and transparent and give out those details when they start the process. Least then you'll know.

It seems unless they have a change of heart regarding the age limit - which if they are going to have one should be a maximum of 16 imho, you are going to be blocked getting in the standing area. I guess the age cap perhaps might be something to do with increased ratios down the line? I can't think of a valid reason otherwise.
I checked spurs

Approved Safe Standing AreasBlocks 248-260 Rows 1-29 and Blocks 323, 324, 451, 452 and 453 rows 71-82.*Please note that Junior concessions are not available in the Safe Standing area in oursingle-tier South Stand as this area is not deemed suitable for children

I suppose it depends on how many supporters are in a similar boat to you. I completely agree with what you're saying, and whilst none of my kids currently go the game, I wouldn't personally have an issue if they just let children in on the same tenure as their parents for all the reasons you have suggested. However, does that then mean that there is a considerable amount of people who would jump the queue ahead of others?

I go with my dad and brother but they've had their tickets longer than me so i'll be picking on my own and trying to get somewhere nearby. I'm sure there will be plenty of other supporters picking single seats who would potentially lose out on a seat preference to under 18s pushed up the list. Appreciate that is going to happen anyway to some extent if they're basing it on age where that is less than their tenure, but the club may have decided on this approach as a compromise.

Just trying to think of it from another persepctive.

There may also be current season ticket holders that go to the game together but sit in different parts of the ground and would like to get seats together, as they may never have had an opportunity to do so at Goodison. Would like to think they will have a plan ready to give the current season ticket holders the best selection and will be able to have them sorted and still have extra season ticket availability to those on the waiting list by the summer. But then again there have been plenty of times people have paid for season ticket renewals before April and were still waiting for that ticket to arrive in the days before the first home game, so I`m not so confident that this process will run smoothly.

Guessing it’s to do with people who have been going longer , than someone’s children .

As you could have the situation where someone who’s had a season ticket for 20 years , with 2 children who been going 5 years . And 2 friends who’ve both had an an adults season ticket for 19 years , paying adult prices all that time.

Yet the 2 children are getting seats they want. Who’ve paid less and been going less.

I don’t envy them at all. There is going to be some moaning . They can’t win. Probably why they’ve taken so long to announce it all 🤣

Everyone wants the best for their own situation . What obviously not possible .
I thought the people with children would be done on the group average . So those High up aren’t losing out as much, waiting.

Wonder what this area is going to be used for? They're erecting a security fence along there which is much more robust to the one seperating the UU site.

Makes me think it's some sort of secure storage or VIP parking area? I'm pretty sure that section falls within the clubs ownership/ lease but don't recall ever seeing anything on the proposed layouts.

Could be parking for the team coaches maybe? As they drop off the players near there I believe. I assumed that land was UU though to be honest. Would be interesting to see if someone has a site plan with the boundaries.

On a site plan from the planning docs, it doesn't look like its part of the site. Not to say they have not struck up a later agreement to take it on
