New Everton Stadium

That's like suggesting when someone tall sits infront of you, or elsewhere within your view, it's restricted. 🤷‍♂️

That lad in the picture is leaning against the wall, so anyone stood there normally watching the game wouldn't be doing that.

Ultimately, the entire original discussion was around potential sight line issues brought about by perceived 'poor' or 'not considered' design.

The wall 100% doesn't block the view. It's a bit of a stretch to suggest that fans stood on the south stand will block anyone's view also. For a view of the corner flag to be blocked, it would take a particularly tall person, stood in a specific spot, leaning against the handrail and the person in one of those end seats to be still sat down and/or particularly short 🤷‍♂️

I'm going to take this one as a first victory in my quest to become the new GOT Resident Stadium Sightline Expert :lol::lol:

The removal of the marginally obstructed view seats might suggest otherwise. ;)

@Tom Hughes

Maybe you could get your Mrs one of these for the next test event.
They'll suspect nothing.

Godspeed 🙏 💙

That looks like the perfect Hot Wok take-away smuggling deception device.... thanks! Especially as she's now only one behind Andy Nicholls on the "one to look out for" list.

Tbh, I planted the peanuts and have already called the club to suggest a 2 strikes and you're out policy.

Tom you’ve lost the battle of the poor design affecting sightlines, there aren’t any, as the club said all along.
Ifs, buts and maybes do not affect the final built stadium.
Concentrate your efforts on the poor roof design and the first ‘x’ rows getting wet now. You might be onto winner there (don’t bring acoustics in to the roof design though, think the noise levels are going to surprise a few folk)

Next seasons fixtures are n`t out yet so we can`t be sure if we`d be home or away that weekend. If we were home we could play Sunday or Monday.
We’ll request to be away that weekend. It’s how it works. Otherwise it’s too quick of a turnaround time and no guarantee we could play Sunday/Monday.

Interesting comments about the food prices, not allowing food into the stadium and bags searched etc.

For comparison (as we are gonna have gigs here), I recently went to the Co-Op Live in Manchester: bags were ruthlessly searched at the entrance and all food & drink confiscated.

The cost inside was exorbitant: 2 hotdogs cost £28 !! And a can of soft drink almost £4!

Looks like this is the way things are going.
It’s not great , especially for those who have concerns over their finances or large families .

However we’ve built a new ground , they’re going to maximise their income and anyone would . I don’t know what the all new prices are but it’s about £4 for a minging pie at goodison . It’s more expensive definitely but it seems clear you’re getting more bang for your buck .

If people need to eat there will be other cheaper options in the city and probably en route to the ground .

The Tai Pan is in the stadium doorstep pre or post match. On another note did anyone try the Fish an chip stall in the Plaza before the game, price/ quality ?
