New In-House Ticket Re-Sale Platform (no more StubHub!)

Card is now digital, don't particularly want to pay for a physical card and then have to post it. I don't know anybody near me who supports Everton. It's just not practical for a lot of people who would regularly sell tickets (people outside of Liverpool).

Also, I'm pretty sure the club will strongly discourage (potentially even enforce) the sale of tickets not through this new mechanic, due to the Covid restrictions.

This is better for the club, which is fine, but overall it is an objectively worse deal for the supporters. Tickets are now harder to re-sell and more expensive to purchase.

Totally agree.

It's also evident a lot of people don't understand the new system.

I've used Stub Hub in the past at face value.
I know for sure I can't attend every game next season so naturally welcome what in the main seems a fairer system.
The days of my 300 mile round day trip are coming to an end. If someone could guarantee me a seat at the final game at Goodison, and one at the first game at BMD I would surrender my season ticket today.

Yeah but I can remember a few midweak games like Newcastle and WBA and tickets going for 7 or 8 quid, which wasnt fair on season ticket holders who have paid top money for that game.
As with everything there will be winners and losers but on this the positive aspects far outway a few negatives and the club should be praised for doing right for the majority of fans and looking after season ticket holders.
Because demand wasn't there. Now instead of the seller getting 7 or 8 quid and somebody who is usually priced out of going the game getting to go, the seat will be empty and both will lose out. I've lost count the amount of times over the last few years when I couldn't go due to work and my ticket didn't sell for 15/20 quid.

Yeah as I've said a small number of fans will always be worse off, no plan is perfect, but more fans will benefit from this then will lose out.
The club deserve credit for looking after our interest as a fan base rather then pleasing a small number.

What a load of crap. Stub hub was sound. People should be allowed to sell their ticket below face value. And now to take my lad I have to buy an adult ticket.

Nothing to stop anyone selling their ticket below face value or even giving it away.
Just not on the club’s platform…

No system will ever be perfect for everyone, but there will be some who’ve held STs for years, profiting on the derby, ManU etc.., collecting Away credits for tickets they sell on & when we did get to Wembley, they were selling tickets for £300+.
Some will still do that, but at least they’ll have to find another way.
Anything the club can do to stop these leeches gets my vote.

You're right they will still do it. This hinders a lot more than it helps buyers and sellers alike

Don‘t forget though the club is a business. We want to see top players. That costs big money & big wages.

People buying Season Tickets are getting a good discount for buying in bulk .
How many businesses would give bulk discount, then give you a refund for what you don’t use?
If some of these touts decide to not renew & those STs go to genuine fans who go to games, that’s a good thing, isn’t it?

As far as I can see the club haven't yet announced how STH's list their seat for matches they can't attend. Or have I missed something ? I can't get to any night matches for family reasons so I need to list my seat for Burnley . Normally I would put it on Stubhub for £20 and it would go in minutes.

Only allowed to list it when it's sold out so it will be late before you're allowed - if at all.

And in the meantime somebody who usually can't afford to go will miss out on a half price ticket and the seller will miss out aswell. But apparently its great.
