New manager

Come on pick one mr no to Mourinho
I don't have to have a solution to this problem.

It's not my job.

I would sincerely hope that ALOT of research is being done by TFG who should have FAR MORE knowledge about the talent that's out there than a casual supporter like me!

If what they end up with is Mourinho, then I'd say it's a very questionable appointment because it really does not feel like the right fit for where EFC currently are in their squad / league table position.

Stop sitting on the fence who do you want?

Just really not sure what way they will look at potter was the strongest runour so far. Shocked dyche still here did look like a good time to bring in a new manager. To me serme pointless because i dont see him getting results afainst villa or spus

We would never be in the market for an "at his peak Mourinho" unless we were regularly competing for trophies year after year.
At this present moment...possibly.

Winning Roma's first trophy in over 14 years would not be classed as failure.
I mean, he got sacked right? Generally speaking that isn't seen as a sign that you're succeeding. I think someone like Mourinho is genuinely the worst possible type of appointment we could make. Yet another 'hollywood manager' who is out of touch with the way the game is going and is just here for a payday, who will lose his rag when we don't give him £150m to spend every season and blames the DoF for not giving him the players he wants. The point was that people call him a serial winner etc, but in recent years he hasn't been - he's won 1 trophy in 7 years, he hasn't been a serial winner for about 12 years.

It feels like people (not saying you) always say 'look at the likes of Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth, they're so well run why can't we be more like that' and then want us to do literally the total opposite of anything they would ever dream of.

Mourinho would be pretty entertaining in a let's throw a firework on the bonfire kind of way. But not sure it would be very good for our prospects. Imagine him managing Doucoure... he'd probably make him the tea lady
Haha, I was literally just typing does anyone think Mourinho would start Ducoure in the 10 role 😆

It would show how good a manager he really is…

Like Pep is he really that good? Managed Barca B Barca and City, could he do it at an Everton/West Ham?

See above, bitch.

Problem is whoever gets suggested most fans just moan because they say the person doesn't know the club or the league, the usual bs mainly because our fans like 'safe' appointments imo hence the desire with some to get Moyes back, our fans don't generally seem to like change much.
Id love to us take a chance (in the same way we did with Moyes) on someone like Danny Rohl at Sheff Wed or Michael Carrick at Boro and really back them, or really make a strong move to try and get someone like Kjetil Knutsen from Bodo/Glimt. I want someone who is an ideas man, someone who thinks outside of the box, someone who is tactically aware and can improve players on the training ground.
