The thing is they're not even in trouble.Loperwhatsit is now available. Only joking. West Ham gave him the boot, decisive action by a club in trouble. Unlike us.

Forget longer term managers, that doesnt happen these days, I get the feeling that alot of posters are stuck in the past wanting another Moyes type 13 years when in reality managers often dont last 2 or 3 years. Stop getting attached to managers, especially crap like Dyche...Exactly it would not work its short term we need a longer term rebuild with a progressive coach ideally.
Good! As long as he isn`t in the team every week!!Mourinho would be pretty entertaining in a let's throw a firework on the bonfire kind of way. But not sure it would be very good for our prospects. Imagine him managing Doucoure... he'd probably make him the tea lady
An articulate summation which I would find hard to disagree with. As much as I'd rather not, it seems to me that, and for the reasons you explained, all roads lead back to Moyes on this occasion.I think we are caught between competing needs of survival/stabilisation and progress if im honest. There are also other variables like availability without compo, working knowledge, experience of our current position etc. He just ticks an awful lot of logical boxes if i was TFG and i was protecting a £600 mill pound investment.
Football investment in generally about a 10 year minimum, financial investment before looking for a return, could TFG look at the first 18 months of this investment cycle being stabilisation - i think they could.
Honestly when i weigh everything up i find it hard logically for it not to be Moyes. Id personally be surprised.
Not discounting the points you made mate, just a different lense.

I think there a chance we get someone no one expects, but like the RS, don’t think anyone thought about himProblem is whoever gets suggested most fans just moan because they say the person doesn't know the club or the league, the usual bs mainly because our fans like 'safe' appointments imo hence the desire with some to get Moyes back, our fans don't generally seem to like change much.
Id love to us take a chance (in the same way we did with Moyes) on someone like Danny Rohl at Sheff Wed or Michael Carrick at Boro and really back them, or really make a strong move to try and get someone like Kjetil Knutsen from Bodo/Glimt. I want someone who is an ideas man, someone who thinks outside of the box, someone who is tactically aware and can improve players on the training ground.
I agree mate. They are underperforming like Spurs, but they won't be in relegation danger like us.
For me the bigger worry atm is keeping Dyche in charge, rather than who we get for him.

Works for me.. get Jose in.Mourinho would be pretty entertaining in a let's throw a firework on the bonfire kind of way. But not sure it would be very good for our prospects. Imagine him managing Doucoure... he'd probably make him the tea lady
It’s a bit of fun for us, I don’t see it either but the thought he could come and win us something would be awesomeThe friekdins sacked mourinho from Roma ..why would they then appoint him here.
I dont think they would maybe if was in a different position like when we had martinez/koeman. Just think more of a project ddpressing to say but even get the club back mid table/top 10The friekdins sacked mourinho from Roma ..why would they then appoint him here.
Robins is actually very good tbh and his teams always play decent football but Championship is probably his level tbh. Be interesting to see what happens at Stoke though as they have a few tidy players but are the perennial basket case club and considering they have more money than half the clubs in the PL do, they really should be playing in the top flight. What is about Mark Robins, I don't know much about him, but he did really great on low budget at Coventry for years and the FA cup run. They looked really good against Man United. No idea how they played usually.
Edit: Just saw he's already a new job.
I don't think he'd come. And I think we are a long way off winning anything. It’s a bit of fun for us, I don’t see it either but the thought he could come and win us something would be awesome
Hey , Jose wouldn't be my choice.I mean, he got sacked right? Generally speaking that isn't seen as a sign that you're succeeding. I think someone like Mourinho is genuinely the worst possible type of appointment we could make. Yet another 'hollywood manager' who is out of touch with the way the game is going and is just here for a payday, who will lose his rag when we don't give him £150m to spend every season and blames the DoF for not giving him the players he wants. The point was that people call him a serial winner etc, but in recent years he hasn't been - he's won 1 trophy in 7 years, he hasn't been a serial winner for about 12 years.
It feels like people (not saying you) always say 'look at the likes of Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth, they're so well run why can't we be more like that' and then want us to do literally the total opposite of anything they would ever dream of.
