New manager

Do you think these Texans would be impressed by having a knight as manager of their football club?

Sir Gareth Southgate might just be the brand they need to "enhance Everton's reputation as a unique historical club in world football."

Seems more their type that Comfy Cardy Moyesy, anyway.
The last time Southgate managed in the PL he finished 19th

I hope the new owners have Wikipedia

As has Sir Gareth.

But neither are the solution, in my view.
Have to agree. They’re all from an era of football that’s 20 years ago. Football has evolved.
I can only think of one manager who was a success then who’s continued to be successful. Ancelotti. And we managed to make even one of the best managers in history look bad.

I think recognising Dyche is definitely the wrong man and not having a clue who the right man is must be a pretty common perspective.
No doubt. We are not doomed despite the general viewpoint here. It's getting scary again though. Season after season. It's incumbent on the new owners to make a positive change. However it's a catch 22. No one obvious exists because no one will take it for six months so dyche will be left there to hopefully scrape into 17th.

Not in club football
His one and only managerial position was a disaster
Yes, that's true, but his stock is high as a result of his international exploits - and he will lazily be in the media discussion.

The bigger point here is we need to show a little imagination in our managerial picks. Potter, Moyes, and Southgate are the laziest of suggestions, each one lacking any imagination. These new owners should be held to the highest standards. It's up to them to come up with the right soluntion - not fans on a message board, many of whom watch nothing but Everton or the Premier League.

It's a big world out there. And if tiny clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford can source largely unknown managers, we have to be able to do that too - because they are our competition.

Take a look at Aprils fixtures
We’re going to need a buffer built up before then

As hideous as the prospect is, Dyche crash landing us in 17th after 38 games is the optimal way out of this from a spending, PSR and managerial choice perspective.

So I understand the desire from TFG to hope they don’t have to sack him - but it’s gut-wrenchingly awful as a fan to endure this horsemuck week after week.

That’s a massive risk as well…
Especially if they want to play a totally different way, very suddenly, mid season whilst we’re in the soup.

It’s a strategic decision and a fast one we need now.
