Have the docs said anything about that since when you've gone?

First time I'm hearing of this remaining as a symptom - I've had it with the 1st one for a tiny bit (and from regular shots back in the day), but it never persists like that. Sorry to hear mate, must be awful.
It's still really painful. Couldn't get a doctor's appointment this week..

I recognise this thread is hard work, but outside here do you feel like people are taking your vaccine side-effect seriously? A lot of victims report that they feel dismissed a lot of the time.

Bayern (aka Bavaria) is the first German region to open a hotline for vaccine-victims. Within the first days they received 500 individual calls, requiring extra staff. This Hotline was barely advertised...only now becoming known due to it being overwhelmed.

Conservative german estimates at serious vaccine side-effects number 1-in-5000 per jab.

So more like 1-in-1500 per person. These have been reported by victims but many not officially confirmed. Most victims report they feel their complaints aren't taken seriously (there's no financial motivation for Docs to follow through, whereas they did receive substantial payments for jab rollouts).

Trust the experts etc. Folk's real-world experience is sadly a little different to the advertised ideal.

If this risk was made known before the jab (and many of us suspected this!) than many would have passed on the vaccine...

I completely understand if you don't wanna be outspoken on this. I'm banging the drum, tho'...locally too. Folk are slowly more willing to open up now that the pandemic is more or less over.

I’ve had 3 jabs and an infection. Spoke to my GP in Jan and he said at that time it wasn’t urgent for me to get one due to my age and state of health. Will probably go back to him and check again soon.

Misinterpreting sources again are we?

The 1-5000 article does not categorically claim or offer evidence that reactions etc are under-reported. Rather it indicates it is possible they are, but by the same token they may be over-reported.

I like this game 😆

Not reading my post properly?

These have been reported by victims but many not officially confirmed.

I imagine @Tramps_mate horrible side-effect also hasn't been 'officially-confirmed' as being caused by the jab. The hoops victims have to jump through to get that hallowed status!

The article says these figures are suspected cases of serious side-effects of the jab. They are almost certainly under-reported as many aren't aware or don't bother with registering their issues (in Germany via the Paul-Ehrlich Institute, in US via VAERS etc)...around 350,000 self-reported cases in Germany alone...this is much higher than the 1-in-5000 per-jab figure from earlier, because it encompasses all self-reported vaccine-complications. Some of these may be mild or short, but still notable enough to have made the effort to report. Around 50,000 of these are the heavy ones.

Getting the serious ones officially confirmed is a logistical bureaucratic nightmare, even getting the local Doc to take it seriously enough to forward on is a mission itself. There's no national program to admin this.

Let's talk Risk/Benefit. Taking the baseline 1-in-1500 figure (of serious adverse-effects), even rounding it up to 1-in-2000...for relatively-healthy 12-50 year olds we clearly see there is more risk of a serious side-effect from the Covid-Vaccine then there is from requiring intensive-care from the illness itself.

Anyone doing their own Risk/Benefit-calculation would probably think twice if such knowledge was common...

...what's interesting to me - as a student of classic dystopian literature and its relation to the contemporary world - is how readily (and eagerly!) folk dismiss any fair-minded criticisms of the vaccine. This behaviour comes after decades of a given ingrained distrust of 'Big Pharma'. Suddenly, a media-driven pandemic of a cold-virus happens and now everyone (well, almost everyone) absolutely trusts Big Pharma:

This sort of guff explained away by the catch-all: the science is always changing, trust the science.

I'm here on the sidelines stroking my pointy ears, constantly murmering "fascinating" to myself.

The trust the science mantra alone is a brand new logical fallacy. We saw it become a faith-based thing in real time lol

At least I'm not totally banned here (tho' i will accept if it comes). Other places have been quick to outright ban my user-profiles. One forum-administrator's reasoning was "worrying the other members."

Make of that what you will etc.

This is what you claimed in your previous post:

The article makes no argument for or against under or over reporting.

Your 1-1500 figure comes from your mental gymnastics, from what I can tell. That you subsequently continue putting forward in your response.

Which quite possibly stem from the second point in bold. That you study fiction. Go write a novel, it's probably going to better and more lucrative than spinning stories in here.

In short, making up figures probably won't help your cause.

Do I really need to explain the difference between 'per-jab' and 'per-individual' ?

How many jabs has the average person had? Maybe 3.2? What's 5000 divided by 3.2?

Anyway, the vaccine topic is rinsed out. I'm thankful my posts have survived, may their be of some use to curious blues. The next pandemic is coming...so we better be prepared this time.

I'm off now for a long bit. Other stuff is calling.

See yous next season in the Championship

And be excellent to each other x
