Surely not. Two years ago our values didn't align with that of a betting company. Have our values changed?

It was never about values. We are a club shadow owned by a russian/Uzbek oligarch. We had their sponsoring everywhere, we have dabbled in crypto ponzi schemes, appointed our arch nemesis to run the club and maintained other betting sponsors. Jibbing sportpesa was a conveniant excuse to get a higher paying sponsor in at a time of high moral outrage.

Funny thing about shirt sponsors, I’ve watched a lot of PL this season and have seen all of our opponents twice now bar three, and I doubt I could name half the shirt sponsors in the league. I’m literally watching Burnley and couldn’t have named their sponsor until I was looking out for it.

Funny thing about shirt sponsors, I’ve watched a lot of PL this season and have seen all of our opponents twice now bar three, and I doubt I could name half the shirt sponsors in the league. I’m literally watching Burnley and couldn’t have named their sponsor until I was looking out for it.

That's interesting actually. I could name Etihad, Emirates, Chevrolet and 3...and that's about it. AIA...American Express..ok a few. but the betting companies all look the same to me. See, the global brands or household name companies stick out more, hopefully we get one of them.

Chevrolet aren’t even a sponsor any more so shows how they don’t always stick in the mind. TeamViewer took over on Man U shirts this year and I doubt many people know what they even do.

Of course it was, but when you've gone on record as saying it's against your values, you look monumentally stupid when you decide 2 years later that it isn't anymore.
