New Stadium- How to size it?

I must say given the choice.....as a young fellow.....I would never have taken a seat.

And I didn't ;)

But these days if the ground was limited to standing spectators only I would, sadly, have to 'and up me rattle and become a solely stay at home armchair fan :(

Definitely got to have the choice, I would agree with just having one or the other. If we're talking about filling 60000 then we really do have to try and cater for everyone but it's big enough, and hopefully a clever enough design, so that fans opposing wants aren't overlapping.

Tourists on the duck boat tour could sail right up into the stadium as the last stop at 2.45pm. £££££££££££

Might not be too popular.

Maybe I'm very wrong here but I don't see "premium" seating or corporate/hospitality or whatever you want to call it being as big a draw as it say at OT or in particular the Emirates. Evertonians go to watch the football because we support the team. We don't go to be wined and dined. And I like that.

I just think we're not really that kind of club.
I don't think we could attract the corporate numbers that the RS and united do, but I'm sure with the location of the stadium companies would be attracted to buy into the corporate hospitality as well as the affluent Everton fans. It would be interesting to note, how many applications the club receives regarding the few boxes available at goodison now.
Your right evertonians don't go to the game to be 'wined and dined' but as part of my dissertation at uni, corporate hospitality is were clubs make a real profit. You only have to look at the amount of corporate seating in the RS new main stand. They have spent in excess of 100m to gain an extra 10000 seats. That doesn't look good business sense on paper. But when you factor in the amount of corporate hospitality packages available, it will be apparent in next season's accounts why they spent so much on the stand.

Imagine the stadium with a food village beside it that included a load of bars... all owned by EFC!
Couldn't agree more. Club are trying their best with the fanzone experience in a limited place. But a food village with bars decked out in EFC memorabilia in a waterfront location and the club would return a tidy profit and better the atmosphere by having the ground full of half drunk fans. ;)
