Don't drink beer in central park.
You get a citation. I'm still not sure if I'm allowed back into the state of new York.

That's definitely one of the perks of New Orleans. You can walk all the streets with open containers. (Also gets a bit annoying because everyone else is doing the same, makes Pete look like a teetotaling schoolteacher.)

Just been into town and booked it based on this thread, got a good deal, £600 each for 4 nights. Staying at Wellington hotel instead of one I mentioned in OP. Excited for it now, we've got palace away on the Saturday so will go to the Mr D's pub (can't think of name)

Thanks again.
Dennehy's.

Both Thomson and Thomas Cook had city centre deals at that price on the same flights. Thomas cook was £603 at the hotel I mentioned in OP Thomson did £601 to stay at the Wellington.
600 all in is incredible.

I'd say often it's 600 flights onky.

If you like bevvying out save your money from now. Pretty expensive 16oz pints here, made worse by the Brexit £.

I have been hurt before by American beer prices, at downtown disney a Bud Light stubby was $7

If you're interested in basketball at all, seems like a trip to Rucker Park is worth the visit, as is Harlem overall. Tons of touristy things to do downtown, and you probably don't have time for all of NYC, but Harlem is full of life and culture and probably worth a few days on its own.

Absolutely! Some great restaurants in Harlem as well. For baseball fans, Iirc the Polo Grounds is very close to Rucker

Have to recommend the real Little Italy of Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. Always a treat as a kid when I used to go in to visit family and bring back amazing Italian food, cheesecake, etc. Not too far from the Bronx Zoo if you're interested
