600 all in is incredible.

I'd say often it's 600 flights onky.

If you like bevvying out save your money from now. Pretty expensive 16oz pints here, made worse by the Brexit £.
Agreed. Mrs Tree and I paid £600 each just for return flights (Gatwick to JFK) back in December. £600 all in is an absolute steal - must be something to do with flying from Manc? Very nice work by the OP!

hopefully for a nice 10 o'clock kick off, then I think I'll contiune going south and do the Wall St area, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty.
If you're going to be in the Wall Street / Brooklyn bridge area, make time to pop into the TKTS booth at South Seaport.

PS: A place worth going to for eating which I forgot to mention earlier

Try flying to Philly or Boston if NYC flights are too expensive. From where I live it's much cheaper to fly to the city of brotherly love.
How far on the train or bus is Boston and Philly to New York . That could be my plan .

Fly into Philly and catch an Eagles and philly's game have 3 days there train to New York for 5 nights then Boston for 3 nights for a pats game and fly home .

I know it's out of season so might look hugely different, but I really enjoyed Coney Island when I went in September.

Also, I watched the sun go down and all the lights come on across the Lower Manhattan skyline from the Brooklyn promenade. Loads of quality vantage points, and of course it's all free.

Yeah, Coney Island is closed whilst we're there.

These ^ are my final plans. Just wanted to say thanks to those that helped. But it's a step into the unknown, but massively looking forward to it.
Just came back from there earlier this week.

9/11 was weird, made me feel sick so didn't stay long at all.
Walked back from Brooklyn over the bridge, it was absolutely freeeeeeeezing at 10pm
It snowed so we saw Central Park in the snow it was beautiful.

Make sure you take more money than you think you'll need, we didn't get any change from £3k for a week between two of us.

We went to the ice hockey at Madison Sq Garden which was absolutely boss. And there's a belter Jazz club called Birdland on W44th I think that was brilliant.
