But tonight Newcastle have had there game of the season, we had one a while back against Arsenal and never built on it, let’s not worry about about them, they won’t play like this every week and I’m sure we will get much better in the coming weeks. Midfield needs to be worked on and I’m sure against Leeds that will be different, Lampard will have learnt a lot from this he isn’t a stubborn manager like Benitez is,
He has an excuse to throw the new lads in at least now.

Tonight made a mockery of the old adage of not changing a winning team. He will realize that a midfield of Gomes and Allan is a disaster waiting to happen.

More than anything else I’m frustrated with myself tonight. For a while I’ve avoided watching us because I know how angry and upset this team can make me and it’s not fair to myself or my family for me to get that worked up over something so relatively meaningless as football.

After the weekend I decided I’d chance it tonight and here I am again, seething.

I’m gonna take a deep breath, eat a delicious flapjack and finish my book. I urge you folks to do something to take your mind off this nonsense, too. Football is not worth damaging your mental health over at the best of times and this dumpster fire of a club is definitely not.

I know it’s easier said than done, but put it out of your head and move on. Look after yourselves.

(And I’ll see you back here on Saturday, obvs…)

After Anfield there can't be a worse place to put in that type of performance. I'm not even sure it's down to a lack of effort, our players are just awful.

Lack of effort and bravery, apart from Gordon. VDB looked okay to be fair, Branthwaite, composed, a few niceties by Dele and snide but lost the ball a few too many tiimes, but you can see there is talent there. Oh and when are we going to get a break from injuries ?

Even though it was ultimately crap, I am really positive about some of the signs from today...and being positive is all i've got eh?

Gordon - fight, drive, skill, and some signs of being a good communicator & leader (standing up to Trippier, helping Gray when he was injured)
Mina - feels like a blue, some snide, leadership etc, and at least he didn't want to come off
Branthwaite - mistakes but looks good
Gomes couldn't dominate, but he at least didn't slow the game down and pass sideways.
Allan looks like an engine and has passion
Coleman was better.

On the other hand, Richy is a confidence - partnership - passion player. He cant do stuff on his own, and that's not great, but if we can somehow get him clicking with Gordon -DCL -Delle it'll be great.

DVDB is a Gomes upgrade I hope cos they can't both play together.

The team has not even gelled or trained much together - a lot to look forward to.

6 managers and not one can see that Keane Colman holgate are not good enough and people voting for Gordon as mom is mad he went into a few challenges but that’s all 0 end product and gets caught on the ball way to often
Rikki can’t play as a cf didn’t hold the ball up or bring others into play far better coming of the wing
Townsend was poo tonight all in all I think we’re going down only good thing tonight was VDB and he was at most ok
Yes people suck Gordon off he puts a shift in but that’s about it had a really good game the other week but that’s about it.

Still a lot of games to go and points to play for. I am worried tho I just can’t see us surviving our back line is terrible with Mina and Godfrey injured. Keane Holgate are useless Coleman too. I think he just need to play that Patterson now and hope he can produce at the level because Coleman is done.
