I recommend a consistent meditation practice. It’s the only thing that has enabled me to survive Everton for all these years. Pick any one you like but make it a daily practice. I promise you’ll be able to watch the lads and not get depressed. Hang in there.
Appreciate that, thanks mate.

I think by this point I don’t want to have to practice not getting mad after another insipid display. I’ll just fill my time with stuff that makes me happy instead. I’ll obviously glory hunt once we’re blazing a trail towards our first League One title but disappear back into the shadows once we’re adrift at the bottom of the Champo after the administrators are scrambling to find a buyer for BMD.

Was hoping Frank would be able to call on Mina and Godfrey/branthwaite as the two CBS, jibbing the two useless turds, with ukraine and Patterson as full backs - the curse of everton & injuries has scuppered that now.

Hope he goes branthwaite and one of the useless turds now until the injuries abate, and not use both useless turds with branthwaite on the bench, or we are well and truly bolloxed.

Both Gray and Gordon have the ability and skillsets to do the same thing.

They probably do it every time in training against Coleman...heck, Iwobi probably skins him every practice.

Having him there means others will try and help him out as they know hes no chance.

Thats what lead to panic.
If they were capable of playing like he does, they'd be doing it.

The only thing holding Saint-Maximin back is his injury record. He's an excellent player.

Yeah but Gordon just lacks that bit of pace (good at other things) and Gray doesn't really have that strength.

It might just be more that our defenders are tosh unless Mina is there babysitting them all but we know he can't keep himself fit

We lost due to injuries. Gomes would have been hooked earlier otherwise. It is not that he is not skilled enough, quite simply he is not fast enough for this league. Gordon and Gray read each other well and we lost one of those. Keep the faith we have many games to go
Would have been three down at half time a few weeks ago

I thought we were poor regardless mate . We had players there who showed a complete lack of composure such as the defence. Yes we had injuries, I accept that. What I won’t accept is how gutless we were at times. Once they equalised the team began to crumble.

Michael Keane for example, is a total liability. How he is a premier league player is beyond me. It’s difficult to have a keep the faith mentality when these things keep happening over the years. Right or wrong , cryarse or whatever dig people say on here regularly , I’m someone who’s fed up of it.

He looked good because our players were making him look good.

Coleman and Holgate were shocking with Keane closely behind.

But the former to were really just letting him do what he wanted.

He really isnt as good as that.

Keane looked like he hasn't kicked a ball since school, says he doesn't like the Everton fans and feels intimidated by the constant stick, wonder why he gets it.

Got to look at 4 3 3 against Leeds and we have to use Patterson, and hopefully Micky is fit and well

Allan is suspended (I think) for the Leeds game so we will probably see Gomez again, with DVB and Dele, would rather look at Onyango instead of Gomez

Dom will come in up front with Richie on the left, Gordon on the right, with El Karzi coming on after 70 minutes

Would give the captaincy to Pickford, at least he has a bit of passion?

On reflection I think I was correct. That game was lost squarely in the midfield with Gomes (and others) getting totally bullied.

Gomes just cannot deal with the physicality. Brentford never put a body on him, or on his passing targets, so he had time. Newcastle pounded us all over the park.

Allan was ok but he can't do it alone. He's on the wrong side of 30 so 2 games in 4 days is a big ask imo. He gave away a few balls cheaply.

Desperately needed another body along the lines of Doucoure or Gbamin.

I've defended him here but no more. There was a really good closeup of one of the corners. Joelinton was just plowing him over like an NFL blocker and Keane just had a mildly dissatisfied look on his face, like he saw that his bus hadn't arrived yet.

Mina has grown into the kind of leader we need BUT HE CAN'T STAY ON THE PITCH ARRGH

He hasn’t got the mentality. In times like this you need composed leaders with a determination to win. He doesn’t have that. He’s weak and offers nothing but an advantage to the opposition.

Add into the mix the arrogant, weak Holgate and a clearly finished Coleman it’s horrible to see. I was going to say at the time when the window shut but people would get arsey, every window we seem to be playing catch up in terms of what’s needed. A right back has been needed for years and eventually got one, a centre half and defensive midfielder was needed in this one but again too late so now we must wait till the summer.

It's not surprising sadly the amount of times these players fall to bits away stretches back years
Spot on. Time now that a manager realised that it's the same 4 or 5 players that have been losing these type of matches now for the past 3-4 years.
Coleman......Keane.......Holgate.......Gomes. There are others. But those are the main culperts. They are not going to all of a sudden become top class footballers. They might play a decent game every now and then. But that's not enough. Just not good enough. How many managers are they going to fail under. Arrgh......
So there's only one answer. Get rid off in the summer. Just get rid. No sentimentality. No nonsense. Prioritise getting those 4 out. Give Patterson a shot. See how he does. Get 2 other centre backs in. And strengthen our midfield.
And also get rid of all the deadwood that don't even feature. A clean bloody sweep. Then we might get some results.
People scoffed at JJ Shelvey signing for us. The guy bossed our midfield.
We need a few players like that. Rant over.

If its phillps fit and playing.
I can see us struggling.
Leeds are exactly the type of team that turns us over , all effort and aggression.
Add in the Brazilian lad and Taylor bombing forwards, can see it being a long day.
We may as well go for it as you say and attack them from the off.

We've had a good start under the past 34 managers, even Allardyce, then things fell apart. This time the
wheels came off and the bus exploded straight off, so maybe the Lampard era will shine. I would be interested
to know, however, what they were working on during training. I don't think it was defence. I also don't think
it was passing brisk and accurately. I still fear that Lampard's managerial style is standing around yelling
"Why can't you play better? I'M FRANK LAMPARD!" Maradana et al sympathise.
