Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

@The Fish why are you on another clubs forum trying to argue non-points to a fanbase that doesn’t like your club regarding how you’re (probably not even) being taken over by some of the worst humanity has to offer?
And are you also arguing on any other clubs forums as well ?
And if so, is any other clubs fans totally not arsed about Newcastle too ?

Interesting to get others' opinions, even if some are veiled in petty digs and tribalism. Bit pointless living life in a bubble.

Aston Villa had been relegated with about 16 points that season, they had a far, far worse squad than Newcastle. Not a chance the Spanish Allardyce gets promoted with that Villa side.

Left because he’d been lied to by the owner hahahahaha yeah sound. Nothing at all to do with a £10m contract being waved in front of his face or anything. I’m sure he just loved your pitiful club and grim fanbase, if it wasn’t for that pesky Ashley (who’s shrewd managing of the club finances meant that you were in a position to throw money at Premier League standard players and bounce straight back up when relegated) he’d deffo have stayed. Grow up.

Glad you acknowledge I was spot on about the fat man’s style of football anyway x
Those goalposts don't half move around, do they? Newcastle spent more and even Bruce could have got them up! Except they didn't, and he couldn't get the more expensively assembled squad up. Ahhh but that's because Villa's squad was worse and Benitez couldn't have got the more expensively assembled squad up... Even though he spent less and got Newcastle up as Champions. Newcastle saw 24 players out, 23 players in. Villa saw 25 players out, 22 in. Both clubs overhauled their squad. So both teams were significantly different to those relegated.

Ashley has been proven in a court of law to be a liar, proven on several occasions. The decision to leave Newcastle was made well before any contracts were waved, and it was made because Ashley had, again, lied to Benitez.

I've not seen this level of twisting reality to fit an entrenched agenda outside of the sunderland message board.

Which of us do you reckon has met more Newcastle fans?

Obviously you, but you could easily be making stuff up. I’ve been to your ground a couple of times, met Newcastle fans myself, have a mate who lives up in Gateshead and knows loads of Newcastle fans (he’s a red too and they essentially all wank each other off when the football’s on). Your main media mouthpiece the True Geordie is essentially a Liverpool fan with a funny accent. We can only go off our own experiences at the end of the day, and my experience is very much that your fans embarrassingly suck up to them.

You are so far engulfed in your weird, cult-like worship of that utter hippo that you actually believe he wasn’t tapped up by a Chinese club and followed the money? You really think he was forced out and was just dying to stay? Your delusions of grandeur are worse than I ever even imagined.

A truly twisted, disturbed fan base, you live on a completely different planet to the rest of us. No wonder you’re the reds’ little pets.

And my experience which, by your own admission, is greater than your own, is that Newcastle fans aren't up the botbot of Liverpool by any stretch of the imagination.

Honestly? I think it's a combination of your enmity for Liverpool + your enmity for Newcastle, creating an unholy union in your own mind.

I do get it and the price war being waged could well knacker the US, and have severe detriments to oil states like Qatar and S.A, but I do not think it will be the catastrophe for Newcastle United that you appear to be suggesting?

PIF aren't suddenly going broke, at worst they'll not flash the cash as much as they'd like, but they couldn't do that much anyway because of FFP.

No I mean when I am discussing the options of bad to catastrophic I am really talking about for Saudi Arabia. In all honesty they look to me to be the options for the oil industry and those heavily reliant upon it. I mean over 40% of it's GDP is based on oil and 90% of it's exports. I mean in the Uk imagine if the price of machinery, cars, crude oil, aircraft production, scientific and photographic exports all plummeted to a net zero this would still be less than what they export in oil. I mean it's very hard to see how this can be anything other than alarming news for Saudi Arabia in the medium term (even if they monopolise in the long term).

Look there's then a bit of a leap to Newcastle. There is probably a bit of a greater range. The likelihood would be though, it's probably not good for Newcastle, or even City at present. Thats not certain, but again it's quite concerning.

I don't doubt he got offers, but the idea that he is solely motivated by money is laughable. why take the NEwcastle job in the first place? He'd have got more money sitting in his account if he'd gone straight to China 3 years prior. Just a testament to your dislike of Liverpool and, by extension, anything associated with them. It's pretty blatant.

I don't think he was "forced out", I think he wanted X, Ashley reneged on his promise to deliver it, and the two couldn't or wouldn't compromise. But if you've got court proven liar, and famously ornery Mike Ashley on one side, and Benitez on the other, which would you believe? Y'know, if you weren't blinded to the truth by bias?

Way I see it, even with the oil prices taking the pounding they are, Newcastle United will still be in a better financial position than they were under Mike Ashley. The Reuben brothers alone are worth many times more than Ashley.
