The majority of their fans are too fat to get out the door and dislike the current warmish weather, so they're guaranteed a spike in people from there watching?Does anyone know what sky sports obsession with Newcastle is?
Always wondered, their always on tv and they always talk highly of the despite their relagation in recent years. Now they are talking about them signing koulibaly like it could actually happen ffs.
With ffp still in effect they could have the richest owners in the world and it wouldn't make a difference to their spending power.
I'd buy a Slazenger hoody and some Donnay socks from Sports Direct if that helps him stay at Newcastle. He may need gain some extra capital and sell of some of their prized assets such as..... errr.... well... Saint-Maximin. I'm stuck after that.
If the PL are stalling this, the longer it goes on, the worse it is for Newcastle. I thought it would just be rubber stamped through straight away. The fact it hasn't been makes me think they may be starting to make a big of a stand on such matters as state sponsored murder.
The other angle is, the more scrutiny there is has two affects. Firstly it will rile the Saudi's, and probably make them feel less likely to want to invest in this area, as the view will be-we will go and invest where we are wanted. People like that generally do not like being scrutinised. Secondly it's likely to set out a process whereby clubs make it very difficult for them to spend. Quite clear all the noise around this, will mean from day 1 the established clubs are going to make it very very hard for them to come in and spend. All the tricks City used will be barred. We did quite well to at least circumnavigate the worst ravages of the rules, and not make a big song and dance of it.
Just a matter of time. The FA wouldn't dare get in the way of a country where there are billions of Pounds to be had for football rights, investments, broadcasting of the Premier League. They will be going through the motions now acting as if they are scrutinising the deal before pushing it through and rubber stamping it.
Geordie biffs rebuff to all this is that if the FA reject it then it'll be disrespecting the Saudi Prince and there will be legal ramifications.
So...being dodgy doesn't matter as disrespecting the prince takes paramount over law
what legal ramifications? If they mean that they'll chop up a journalist that had the temerity to not kowtow to them, then that's not the sort of person we should want in our already murky world of football ownership.Geordie biffs rebuff to all this is that if the FA reject it then it'll be disrespecting the Saudi Prince and there will be legal ramifications.
