Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

If you like living in the countryside Northumbria is a beautiful county mate, stunning scenery, lovely little villages, lots of very good golf courses and a fair few high end places to eat and drink.

My brother inlaw lives up that way and used to live on an estate where loads of the Middlesborough players used to live.

There`s not really a lot going on for a young Premier League footballer, even more so if they`re forens, plus the Winters are proper fierce up there with it being on the East.

As you say, Jesmond is a nice area, but you`d get bored pretty quickly with the main strip on Osbourne Road and the places off the main strip, tend to be a bit too Bohemian for the average footy player - the Collingwood Arms being my pick of the bunch.
Osbourne road is full of wankstains. Not even sure the collingwood is still there or if it’s changed hands. The only people that go drinking there are those that like to pretend they’re loaded.

The Collingwood is still there as far as I know mate.

My favourite pub in the whole area, beautiful inside, cracking ale, good grub and isn`t full of dangerous bellends, who want to tear your face off for having a different accent.

Plus there`s a cracking Indian place just around the corner on that little block of shops.

You almost forget you`re in Newcastle when your around there lol

The punchbowl around the corner has just reopened if you’re ever up that way again. Decent food and beer. The carriage, near the metro is worth a visit also. Real nice hidden gem. Think it specialises in vegan food now

Spurs have always had FFP but it was Levy's version of it, in that we never spend more than we can afford.
As I said, no, I don't want FFP rules taken away because Spurs will then never compete (unless we are lucky enough to continue to buy well as we have in the last 15 years or so.)
I think most Everton fans are only now wanting FFP rules gone (or cheat around them,) because you are already in a little trouble with it cos of your expenditure. You feel that, with your hidden owner will soon to start hopefully bankroll the club. If he wasn't in the background, most of you wouldn't want the rules changed cos teams like Newcastle, if they have the backing like City have had, will make it even harder for you to progress through only being able to buy well.
Like with all supporters, most want what they feel is best for you own club ;)

Of course we protect our own interests, but even if we didn't have a wealthy owner there could always be a chance that someone could come in and we would do a city. Now we have no chance of a league win (tbf we'd only have a remote chance without FFP) Spurs may have already blown their best chance and as much I rate Mourinho yours are only just a bit better than ours unless you start to spend big. Especially in wage terms.

FFP does one thing only, keep the status quo.

I don't know whether it prevents the takeover or not. What I will say though, the idea sit back and make it anything other than impossible for this lot to splash money about if fanciful. Imagine the red tape city find, x 100 after this. Every regulation they try to get around will be analysed. They will ban them for transfers for years for minor infringements, potentially dock them points etc. Diddums. I suppose they won't be signing Mbappe afterall.

Jesmond is full of painter & decorators orange wives spending the tax their husbands didn’t pay.

Ouseburn Valley is the best part of the town for socialising these days although Not for lager drinkers

Where do wealthy footballers playing for newcastle live? Out of town houses somewhere or any flashy apartment buildings?
