Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

A Tottenham fan inspired by John Henry's success at Liverpool, Henry Mauriss is waiting in the wings for Newcastle United if the Saudi-backed takeover bid falls at the final hurdle... and he could make just as big an impact as the Arab state

Some people call me the Toon cowboy
Yeah
Some call me the gangster of cans
Some people call me Mauriss
'Cause I speak about Spur's Pochettino I love

Enter another joker into the fray....

Unfortunately ive got a terrible feeling this will go through and them lot will be even more unbearable! But reading through this has got me buckled laughing ! Glad you lot find them as amusing as we do ...” ya just divnt undastand man!” how massive they are zzzzz the fact they think they have had it hard over the years is laughable

This really. Mike Ashley has ran them as a solid business, never in any financial trouble and always well equipped to bounce straight back up after relegation due to being able to pay players Premier League wages in the Championship. Yet you’d think he was the most clueless owner in football if you listen to their fans because they don’t buy shiny new strikers for £80m every summer.

The issue is not Mike Ashley and never has been, it’s their fans really not understanding their level.

True, their level is what it is, and their potential ceiling is higher. But under a sensible business model that doesn't put the club at risk, then could they actually have a better owner? It might not be exciting, but give it time, they'd be a decent lower half team. lol lol lol
