Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

They have red shyteesque delusions this lot. Yeah a player like De Bruyne gonna go to Newcastle hahahahaha
Reminds me of that famous quote “so what was it that attracted you to the 74 year old ugly fat billionaire”
So famous I forget the quote
Same reason Richarlison is with us!

The earlyish arrivals of Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood have been very much welcomed by Newcastle fans. Trippier in particular is already being spoken of as a future captain.

The Bruno Guimarães deal is done and from 48 hours ago barely knowing of him I am now convinced we’ve signed the equivalent of Patrick Vieira 2003”

Hahahahahahhahahaha

So Kevin de Bruyne esque in the mould of Patrick Vieira

Jesus this is comical stuff.

Next they will be saying Matt Targett is Paulo Maldini in disguise

“Michael Smith: Very happy with NUFC this morning, the clips of Bruno show we have a talent coming and a strong leader too, Trippier was the starting point and if the Hugo Ekitike rumours are true then we are going to be a different side next week”

This is Gold.
Gotta hand it to Newcastle fans. They cant help thenselves.
Looking forward to watching them blubbing when they are relegated for the 18th time in my lifetime and Im only 12.
Wonder how Kevin DeBruyne esque new Patrick Vieira will do in the Championship

Its a bit bizarre to parody Newcastle fans about signing Guimaraes. He's absolutely class.

The only thing is he may take a little time to adapt to the league.

I think @YorkieG Will be thrilled with him and Trippier.

Burn, Wood and Targett arent the right quality though.

I think Howe will be in trouble unless Guimaraes comes out of the traps flying.

If Newcastle got relegated id have Guimaraes all day long.

Guimaraes is a potential superstar.

The others are there to keep Newcastle up or fight their way back in to the Premier League if relegation happens.

I think they've done decent if not exhilarating (Guimaraes excepted) business.

It will be very interesting to see what they do next transfer windo if they stay up. Could be very interesting indeed. Wouldn't be surprised if it included a new manager as well as players. 2 or 3 quality players at a time, bed in and repeat- then they're serious. Spend like a drunk Everton and they'll be a carbon copy of our stupidity but on a greater scale potentially.

Looks like exactly what they have done so far, tied up older playersd on huge contracts too.

Guimaraes could be good and the upside is his age, but its not nailed on. Look at Ndombele who just didn't fit this league.
He also cant get near the Brazil team.

lol he must be rubbish then.

Played for em a couple of times in the Autumn anyways.

3 caps at 24.

I like him, but lets calm down.

Guimaraes was picked and meant to start in early 2020 but then had to wait until October for his debut.

Then of course went to the olympics with Richarlison last summer (didnt count towards full caps) but he'll be a fixture in the full side now.

He's a very good all rounder and can be very effective in a deep midfield role. He was in the Brazilian leagues team of the year in 2019 and moved to Lyon in 2020.

He took time to settle at Lyon in 2019/2020 but in the 2020/21 season he was class and really a fulcrum of the side.

Thats when he was getting picked for Brazil but...covid happened, as i mentioned above.

Theres been a lot of noise around him since 2018 and if Newcastle go down i think we may see some big clubs in for him if he hits the ground running.

As with Lyon though, he has to adapt.

The rage of football fans around the country including City fans, when these upstarts start having a £900 million squad and their deluded fans are giving it large when they win first domestic cup under the Saudi's.

Their fans have always had delusions of grandeur and add that with the nouveau riche petro dollar stench the barcodes have now are going to be even more intolerable. I can picture it now, fat topless Geordies wearing Arab headwear holding up fake replica trophies is going to be the norm, them winning trophies is going to be 100 X worse than the other two nouveau riche clubs in the PL, who had league 3 titles between them before they won the petro dollar lottery.

Then they'll proclaim themselves as one of the elite clubs in world football like City fans do on social media and BlueLoon, despite only having a handful of league titles and being so far away from 4-5 European Cups.

The rage is already strong in this one.
