This is the exact defence we tried, except we had a better case (the new ground).

I realise nothing has happened one way or the other yet but I just became irrationally angry reading this post and seeing their losses are greater than ours because you just know the outcome

Not really, it all depends on who your owners pay off, end of the day.

We got unlucky that our defacto owner/moneybag was part of the big bad Russians, so it wasn't very well accepted.

Then again maybe they just didn't like our definitely-not-owner specifically - Abramovich was loved after all and Chelsea were barely punished for their obvious blatant cheating...
