They have national diplomats on a government level making their case, we on the other hand are just the right size as a sacrificial lambWell if it works for them and not for us then I hope we have Lionel Hutz on the case ASAP
They aren't though. We lost £378m over a 3 year period, we just tried to explain away £19 million more than we should have done.I realise nothing has happened one way or the other yet but I just became irrationally angry reading this post and seeing their losses are greater than ours because you just know the outcome
Me too!God I hate these more than I realised!
Apparently their games are being moved because the TV companies know they always fill their away end, so take advantage. Never heard that one before!
Most fans are loyal. You ain't special.
Where have you got that from? Isn’t the threshold £105m and we were trying to explain away £19m? What’s this £378m number? They aren't though. We lost £378m over a 3 year period, we just tried to explain away £19 million more than we should have done.
Newcastle may have to sell key player in summer after £73.4m loss
Newcastle accept they may have to sell one of their key players this summer as they strive to remain on the right side of the Premier League’s regulationswww.theguardian.com
"Although the club’s latest accounts revealed a loss of £155m over the past three seasons – ostensibly in excess of the £105m PSR limit – it is understood that money invested in the women’s team, charity foundation and academy can be removed from the deficit, leaving Newcastle on the right side of the law."
Translation: We'll find any excuse to let them off because they're more important to the "brand" than other clubs
We lost £378 million in a 3 year period. We asked for COVID considerations, spending on youth and women's teams and spending on the stadium to be taken into consideration. We tried to claim interest payments on an interest free loan from Moshiri which was where we fell foul of the £19 million overspend.Where have you got that from? Isn’t the threshold £105m and we were trying to explain away £19m? What’s this £378m number?
They removed all those listed things on our accounts. This is the exact defence we tried, except we had a better case (the new ground).
The City way!Dunno why Newcastle don’t just spend anyways. Establish themselves at the top then deny everything.
