Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

"Although the club’s latest accounts revealed a loss of £155m over the past three seasons – ostensibly in excess of the £105m PSR limit – it is understood that money invested in the women’s team, charity foundation and academy can be removed from the deficit, leaving Newcastle on the right side of the law."

Translation: We'll find any excuse to let them off because they're more important to the "brand" than other clubs

Haha love this. They think they can spend £350m+ in a few transfer windows, then because they got a few injuries, should be entitled to spend more to replace them.

FFP has its issues, but this is kinda the point of FFP, to stop teams stockpiling players because they have a few injuries/unavailable.

RS have about 20 quality attacking players, Chelsea have players costing hundreds of millions sat on the bench.

Its designed to stop clubs outside of the elite from doing that as its a threat to the status quo.

A simple transfer cap of every club being only able to spend say £100m per season would solve issues overnight and end the grey areas.

If a club spends £75m in the summer that means in January they only have £25m to spend regardless of if they sell or loan a player, or if they get a shirt sponsor of £30m a season from a company linked to the owners etc.

But the authorities dont want fairness and transparency they want all this nonsense and pantomime that you currently see.

So it's fair to remove FFP and allow Newcastle to spend £400m overnight to build the best squad whilst teams like Luton haven't a pot to piss in?

FFP has its flaws and a transfer cap is a possible solution, but at its core it's there to prevent a few teams from stockpiling all the best players with their bottomless pits of cash.

And also you wouldnt want this 100m per season rule if we got taken over by Dubai and you didnt want it when Mosh was throwing money around, you wanted us to be able to spend what we wanted.

Its hypocritical cos we are skint.

No it isn't, it's there so clubs don't spend more than their income by too much. That means Man United can buy as many expensive players as they want pretty much.

I have no issue with "FFP" providing it covers every club. There are some clubs whose revenues are based on former glory years are so big it means the rules simply do not apply to them.

No rules = City, Newcastle, PSG etc dominate.

Current rules = old boys network of Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea dominate.

There has to be rules that cover every club to bring some credibility back to football. We all know why UEFA wont do it though as they dont want the money clubs to take their ball and leave for an ESL.

Well if any of Jota, Gakpo or Diaz played for us for 3 seasons, they’d end up being considered our greatest player of the Premier League era.
Diaz and Gakpoo have 3 goals, so if they are quality attacking players, that means DCL is also, Jota has 5, hes not even as good as Doucs.

This is a Liverpool side that creates about 30 chances a game.

Yes, these are the players that create them lol

This could honestly be one of your worst ever shouts, in a tough field of competition. I will come back and laugh at it some more at the end of the season.
