My talking points from tonight's game:
  • Deulofeu looked much less greedy. He still had a selfish streak, which is fine for a tricky winger, however he did look up a lot more, which is promising for the future.
  • Barkley's goal was wonderful, and his celebration showed me that he is ready to take on the mentality of the next level players. A Ronaldo/Ibra kind of 'I'm the best' mentality.
  • Some very solid defending again from Coleman and Stones in particular. God do they get 'it'.
  • Lukaku is still scoring. get in.
  • Barry needs to watch his yellow count, because we will miss him. McCarthy was tireless as always, very impressed, but he does work well with Barry, maybe sit him out against Fulham, with Barkley in there?
  • Looking promising with McGeady and Mirallas given a breather.
  • Our corners were much more dangerous today, we looked like scoring from them. Roberto fixed them up, because they have improved over the last month a lot.

BLUE STITCHES?????

Just seen the sky highlights, our goals were all very good, we don't often show that much quality end product keep it up lads. Ben Arfa looked very sharp for them lot.

I'm starting to dream of top 4 again now, something I really didn't think I'd say a couple of weeks ago. Beat Fulham, then the Arse and it is ON. Especially as all our hardest games yet to play are at home.

Just watched the highlights now. All three goals were boss, and all three were hugely influenced by Deulofeu. Who if I was to base it on the five minutes I saw, was my MOM.

have to admit that I was fuming at Barkley during that run until the ball hit the net. In the end, it was good to see him find the net and show why he has the arrogance he does. In fact, it was awesome to see all of Deulofeu, Lukaku and Barkley reap the rewards of a bit of selfishness and a lot of talent. Still hoping they can continue to learn the deftness of the simple pass instead of the showmanship of three stepovers and a dash to the byline. All in all it was a fantastic performance, the attack was clinical, every player in defense made at least one crucial stop and Stones playing with that nasty gash is the making of legend. Long may it continue.
