I'll tell you what lads, can't beat the feeling of being on holiday and waking up to pyar texts off ya best mate about the game and going mad with a three nil victory! I tried to stay awake til 03:00 to follow it but couldn't do it... must be first game I've missed in years... which made it all the better to wake up at 06:00 to find out we smashed them! Was reading all newspaper reports for an hour before going back to sleep buzzing!

I go on holiday a week on Saturday. I'm staying in the UK this time (East Prawle, nr Start Point, South Devon if anybody knows it?). It's a big family holiday (Mum, all three of my sisters and two of my three brothers). My youngest brother is a Spurs' fan. He'll know where to find a pub with Sky (or is it on BT?) as he goes there every year (we all used to stay in the coastguard cottages as kids). You'd think he'd be wanting us to stuff the gooners usually, but maybe not this time!

What a night!

Got in at 1PM and had to drive back in terryfying fog, but in general I'm in high spirits

Wonder goal from Barkley, Ossie gets one too and then the "Miracle of Tyneside", Delo actually passed the ball to another player!!!

I thought Distin was excellent all night and also thought Howard made some good saves. We rode our luck at times to be honest, but I think we deserved the 3 points in the end.

The view from the away end at St James is just as ridiculous as everyone says though. It was like I was playing Sensible Soccer on the AMIGA again

What I liked about the way we set up this game was how osman and Barkley all interchanged positions frequently to make little pockets of space it reminded me of villa away last season. I think our problem is we have some times become to rigid when playing. I think we should start to play with one out and out winger like Gerry or Mcgeady and then let Barkley and either osman or mirallas play as inverted wingers so when we are in attack they move more central and play with more fluidity while baines creates the width

Watching the highlights again. First of all, what a coup by Sky getting Paul Scholes - a man who didn't seem to like the limelight - in the studio. Nice to see him say Everton could finish above Arsenal. It makes me laugh when pundits don't say the same. If it's possible, pointswise, then of course we, or Spurs, Man Utd (no, honestly :D) or even Newcastle and Southampton could. Whether any of us are likely to is another matter.
