Heh

Saw this on another forum, apparently it's Alan Shearers latest plan to avoid relegation.

Totally Evilwebby. And why are they where they are today? Because the fans hounded out Allardyce and Ashley was too stupid to realise the risk of dispensing with yet another manager. If any set of fans need a wake-up call, it's the Newcastle fans. They deserve the Championship.

From a Newcastle fan point of view, people should not judge the fans by the few who protest after games. We Geordies do not expect the world when it comes to our club. How can we, when we haven't won a trophy since 1969? Nothing domestically since 1955.

We just want the team to play well, and to entertain and we hope to see the Newcastle captain one day lift a cup. This is a city that closed to allow the players' coach to parade around when we LOST the 1998 FA Cup Final.

So please don't judge us by the minority's actions.

And yes, we're going down....:(

I said ages ago on another thread that after the game at St James in which we ended up losing two important players for the rest of the season I want to see them go down.

By the way, people of Newcastle are Geordies not Jawdees.

Just read that Viduka, Alan Smith and Barton make 200K/week. Add in Owen and that's like what 330K/week? I'm guessing the always injured Martin makes around 100K/week as well.

In comparison Arteta, Jags and Cahill make what 130K?

Besides Owen (who's contract is up) there is really no one of the big money makers that they'll be able to unload on those salaries. Given that they are often injured and/or psychopaths, who would take a chance on them even with a free? Their best case senario is to get a loan deal for 25 cents on the dollar (Martin could go for a little more). I just read that Ashley might have to unload the team for 125M which is 1/3? what he paid for it. Only Hull's and Boro's inept play can save them now.

Agree with that and think that's exactly what's going to happen. Struggling to see where Hull are going to get anymore points from. They are awful and nowhere near good enough for the PL. Not that Newcastle are that much better, but do think they'll overtake Hull City to stay up.

As for this year , I think theyre down .
However , I used to live in the Gateshead area , my kids still do , and while stll going to our games , I attended a few , about 7/8 aways with them . It was when Beardo/Waddle/Young Gascoigne /Neil Mc-fukn-Donald , ( Guess which one we bought-when they were under 30 -???? ). They would either win or lose 2-1;3-2;4-3 , or so it seemed to me .
My point was , they were sound lads . As far removed from these replica wearing Teds as is possible to be . Moreover , as they were attending when gates were less than 18,000-on a good day -;they had no illusions as regards their general standing in English football.
Lets have it right . The last time they won the League was over 50 years ago . Even their last trophy was in a competition whereby a qualification criteria was an annual Marrow-Show - Chico , Stop !!
Thus , lke Spurs and City they are living off glories , not merely of their parents , but of their grandparents . In some cases , beyond that even .
Sir John " Thank-you-very-much-for-the-Metro-Centre " Hall sold them the dream . They , desperately , disregarded history and common logic , and bought it . Hook , line and sinker ( an Angling term , I believe . And , maintaining the theme , ... )
They are going dow-w-w-w-w-wn .
Apologies to all on Barley Mow .

I have a gut feeling that Newcastle will get turned over by Boro.

WBA, Hull & NUFC to go down.

I think you're a fan in the minority. Its the "we want entertaining football" that got Big Sam booted out because he was making a route 1 but solid Newcastle side. He brought in a load of new, techo-stuff, nutritionists, etc to modernise the team off the pitch, then wanted to change the side the way he wanted it.

But that wasnt good enough.

Keegan came in. All was rosey. In fact, comfortably mid-table. But the fact he couldnt have control on his transfers and was treated like a tool, made him want to leave...and sue the club.

Then they brought in Joe Kinnear - who hadnt managed for years due to a bad heart. Guess what happened? Heart attack.

Then the last throw of the dice...Alan Shearer.

Just reading those snippets over 2 seasons...you can see why the wheels have come off but this has been the case years earlier.

They should've just got a manager, took things slow, and built a team rather than want everything instantly....and the fans played a big part in that also. Big Sam would've turned the club into a solid unit. Hell, he's even got Blackburn out of religation with nothing.
