News of Ex Players

I can’t see how we have a lost revenue case. We chose to suspend him, City didn’t suspend Mendy when he was arrested, only when he was charged, Sunderland still played Johnson AFTER he told the club he was going to plead guilty.
That's not quite right about Adam Johnson. He told Margaret Byrne (Cheif Exucutive at the time) some details about what had gone on and only her. She along with Johnson kept it a secret until the trial. What we heard in the trial took everyone by surprise because Johnson had always maintained he had done nothing wrong. He plead not guilty and only changed his plea towards the end of the trial. He was sacked within minutes.

Crazy. Have to support any investigation when such things are alleged, but imagine these days there is often a digital aspect - shouldn’t take best part of 2 years to even decide on a charge, never mind a conviction. Doesn’t do either party any good. I don’t know much about the system or policing but that sounds shocking for alleged victim and accused.

Our financial claim in terms of P&S won’t be his salary since we chose to suspend; we will say we lost X million due to the inability to sell our record signing when he had 1 year left, which we clearly would have done. Wouldn’t have been a massive profit but still, when added to all the other “unforeseen circumstances”….

And yet Chelsea's and Arsenal took the opposite approach, one of them players is still actually playing for Arsenal and the one from Chelsea was up for multiple rapes, how does that work ?

Looks like I have done Chelsea a wrong, the player was actually with Man City at the time, going by another poster on here

I wonder if Moshiri knows an agent, or an agency manager quite well who could claim to have negotiated a deal worth, I dunno, £30m for [Player] that collapsed due to the events that have since been difficult to prove?

Connor is getting at they aren't innocent or guilty as they haven't been found either.

I think, and Connor can correct me if im wrong, but I think Connor was merely saying that he hasn't been found innocent, just that there isn't the evidence to even charge him.

If i steal some sweets from the sweetshop, but the cameras weren't working. There will be no evidence to charge me for theft but it doesn't mean im innocent of stealing.

Equally, the same works for guilty as well.
He cant be found innocent of something he hasn't been charged with.
He is, there fore, innocent.
If a shop keeper accuses you of stealing sweets but there is no evidence or charges, you're innocent.

Which basically means he is innocent as far as the law goes, he wont have a criminal record

Yeah just said this too, right or wrong you are either guility or you are innocent, in this case he is innocent, he hasnt been found innocent because it didnt go that far, he just is innocent
