So you think Moshiri is waiting to see where we finish. So 7th he stays? What about if we finish 10th. I’m certain Moshiri will be speaking to mangers and agents. If the opportunity is there to appoint a Fonseca( who’s out of contract) or Silva on a free, who they were prepared to pay 15mil for. I think he will act.

What if he keeps sam in charge and it goes tits up early next season. He will be back to square one, either appointing a manger out of work or trying to get one out of a club. And we know how difficult that is. I know Moshiri has been a bit naive in his first 2yrs, but he’s not stupid.

Apparently when he first approached sam, he offered him a deal to the end of the season. Sam wanted 3 yrs. so the 18months deal is a compromise. Also the rumours about Walsh getting the sack, if he does Sam is gone 100%
Even if we do get 10th it is possible he might stay, thing is everyone is taking it for granted he is gone because they want him to be gone, but I just can't see Moshiri getting rid for the sake of it. Im not convinced Moshiri has fully grasped what he and the club need to do moving forward, Walsh still being at the club shows this. If he will put up with him I'm sure he will be fine with Sam for the time being.

See I agree with what you say about next season and going back to square one if it goes wrong, but that could also be a reason to keep him. If we change again, and we get it wrong again we will be into the 4th manager in 2 years, which is ridiculous

......and quite successful.

Boring, winning football we will embrace.

It is boring, losing football we disdain.

A world of difference between Big Fat Sameone and Big Fat Sam ;)
Yea I'm not too sure on Simeone myself. He has had some fantastic players.

At bit like Mourinho teams he keeps it tight and hopes the individual quality of the players win it for him.

I want a coach who can actually get them playing football.

Dyche is a younger Big Sam

See I'd be fine with a (pre-crook) Allardyce from 15 years ago being given a chance.
He'd have the players and resources to explore playing other ways and learn as he went and would be willing to build a squad and a culture for the long term, knowing he'd likely never have it better.
It's very different from appointing a washed up, short-terming version and expecting him to suddenly learn new tricks when his head's already been on the beach once.
